Let It Die, like so many games from Goichi Suda’s mind (Suda 51) is one crazy experience. It’s a game, inside a game. It’s also an online asynchronous MMORPG (think the ill-fate Mighty Quest for Epic Loot or the Sleeping Dogs spin-off Triad Wars). You play a nameless and faceless protagonist in a bar, and your only guide in life and the game/s is a Finnish skateboarder named Uncle Death.

    From your review.

"The downside to Let It Die’s F2P nature is its temptation to just pay real money to breeze past hard fights or floors

So in my opinion there is no upside to games like this but somehow they keep getting made. And there is a subscription available for this a "single player" game?

Nice that you took the time to review it though.

I suggest just watching a youtube video of the boss battles (all.... four of them) and ending and save yourself the money of having to buy your way through them, yourself.

So, in short, the better players play this game, the less devs profit will be generated?

The hubby really enjoyed this game. I think he ended up spending about $10 mostly for storage. Really a fair price for the game. Patience is definitely key.

Don't like P2W? Well guess what? You have two choices, either embrace it, or count the days to the end of F2P.

You only want the cash shop filled with stuff you have no intention of ever buying? You aren't fooling anyone, but yourself. Let's start counting, 398.

    Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven
Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?
Mom: We don't talk to Priests.
As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
    Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play.  Therefore P2W.

Well first off, this is not a game that you are going to throw money at, if you get two weeks play out of it you have amazing patience.  Secondly, most of these P2W games use RNG, so playing the game and purchasing things from the store is like being in a gambling casino.  It is the RNG aspects that everyone objects to.  If you could just buy these items directly at reasonable prices no one would care.

I tried watching the first 60 minutes of game play video on you tube.
It looks very boring and game play is typically linear.
Uncle death is a silly character, not a fan of silliness.

Couldn't watch but 5 minutes and was all i needed to see, deff not a game i want to play.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Uncle Death is Finnish? I thought he was doing some kinda Mexican accent. Guess I don't know my stereotypical accents well enough.

You watched 5 minutes, so you couldn't speak to the linearity of the game. It has branching paths and secrets. As for the comedic tone, that's one thing that only you could speak for. Uncle Death is the representative of the comedy in the game. If you don't like him, you might not like the rest of it.

Who pays for Storage when you can use Death Medals?

There's nothing more gratifying than playing an MMO for free.
