Just a quick shout out to those who enjoy exploration/survival games. Subnautica is currently 50% off (9.99$) on Steam, until Friday.
It is an underwater exploration game, scheduled to release in a few months. It's less focused on combat, more on visiting different underwater zones, finding resources and learning about the world. Most of the features are already complete, with the remaining pieces of the story being wrapped up. I find the different environments fascinating and really well put together. It is well worth the full price and a definite steal for 9.99$ in my opinion.
Even though it's single player only, I wanted to share my guilty pleasure with the rest of the MMORPG crowd!

All of the non-story features are mostly complete.
The game has around 8 unique biomes. You travel around the map and hunt for crafting recipes. These include the various structures you can build and also 3 vehicles. They added out of water areas and improved the walking a fair bit.
In terms of what's left to finish, they are currently working on the two end-game zones. These are the lost river and the lava zone. These zones will have the most difficult creatures and also the key components of the story. About a year ago, they have focused on adding a storyline to the whole thing - in that sense, the game will have a clear beginning and an end goal. You can currently engage with the story and some of the problems, but you don't have the parts of the story for you to resolve everything. I believe they are planning to finish everything up by summer/fall.
Given the progress and dev engagement, I feel it's a fairly safe project to get involved in.
it has a lot more content then it did last year. I think its worth a re-look.
The only issue I had (which was more than 6 months ago) was after awhile I had to re-set the terrain I think it was or it would just run really really slow. I think they worked that out.

if its version is anything like the console version of 7 days to die then the PC version is going to be light years different.
7DTD console version is horrible and I dont mean that because of console I mean specifically because much of the content in the PC version flat out does not exist in that specific console version
