Is it a management issue or an actual gameplay issue?

True, I wish I knew "what" the actual issue is/was.

In Korea, Bless is down to just one server left and it's not a mega server.

There are a few game play issues. The biggest one is just plain lack of content. Game has been out for almost three years in Korea and they have only ever gotten one content update.

Another big issue is the optimisation. While the game looks pretty, it just falls apart when you have big world boss fights or sieges.

This is what it's like doing world bosses in Bless

At least they had the intestinal fortitude to shut it down for fixes. Trion on the other hand...

The unreal engine 3 always perform badly in large scale MMOs. I think devs need to move to another engine that doesn't kill performance in large groups

You know it's bad when the Russians won't play it.

I really hope this isn't a bad sign for a NA/EU launch.  I would hate to see yet another eastern mmo gem miss the west.  I would be very content if Bless and Dragon's Dogma Online came to the west.  The latter is very unlikely, but I still hope lol.

I'm gutted, was really looking forward to NA/EU release. Looks like we can kiss that goodbye this year.

Interesting decision... from the couple vids ive watched on it, RU still has an outdated version to the current KR version which has some of the much needed optimization from what i hear. Little weird they would choose to close down the game instead of updating it to the latest version and see if the improvements go over well with the playerbase.

Tho this is a big problem with all western (RU too i guess) publishers i guess... always releasing outdated clients or trying to pick and match pieces of content for their own release. Ive always seen it as crappy time gating of content so the publishers look good acting like they releasing new content / patches when in reality they just release old outdated versions to prolong the milking as long as they can instead of releasing complete products.

TDLR: Please stop releasing with outdated clients.

It always makes me wonder, why those Asian developers cant stop pretending and instead make real porn games, why suffer with those average MMOPRPGs, when they clearly show how they would like their games to be!

When I said Blue would have better insight I also meant to say he is Korean so he might be able to gain first hand knowledge from reading stuff in Korea as to what is actually happening.

Hmmm .... I played the game around 2 months in RU and I can't agree. Of course there was issues. But which game haven't issues please. And Korea, there was 10 Servers at the begin yes, meanwhile there are 2 servers (not 1).

A lot of gamers which joined our guild say the game is nice and we played without the problems they wrote in the official statement. A lack of content? ... 14 Dungeons and 1 a new Raid. Honestly, a HC Gamer which run true the game (max lvl in 3 days and only interesst in Raids) will be finished with the game after 4 weeks ... yes. But for casual gamers it is really nice and you can spend weeks/months to see and watch the complete content.

Yes, there was a lot thinks which have to implement (Housing, Log for guilds and such thinks). But to close ... never. After 6 years RIFT .... BLESS was a revelation for us. Because RIFT is going on more and more to be a boring game unfortunately. Our fear is that the game never will arrive BA /EU :( .

At the moment we switch to Korea to continue to play BLESS.

    Best regards

Well, if you get a half million whales then your game is probably going to do okay.

With fanatic fanbase and detractors he will be strung up like a thanksgiving turkey if he does not deliver.

goodbye NA/Eu version... damn i really wanted to play this one, tested KR and RU versions and kinda liked it, yes it was not perfect,but... you can't be picky these days because it's hard to pick non-shit "new" MMO last 5 years...

I'm not sure its ever possible to deliver a game to satisfy either of those two groups.

Better if he shoots to please the "average" player...will make far more people happy.

Registered to clarify on this. Its both fault. The publisher never dealt with normal games before (specializing on browser trash), never fixed any problems, instead all attention was drawn to the cash shop. Roughly speaking it looks like that the publisher's goal was actually to sell early access packages and then close the game. They refund only the very last month of purchases.
No refunds on any earlier purchases incl. early access packs (which were the most expensive purchases actually)
But Koreans have their fair share in it as well. Seems like the game died during development (too long, how many years?) and came out very outdated.
Years ago I was very excited about Bless' artwork, when they first showed it but now I'm quite disappointed after trying it myself.
