Need help on Wii U

I am trying to buy a Wii U and I came across these types of stripped meaning it come with nothing but the main console called replacement unit only. There are no connectors or anything else and I was thinking of buying one . My worry is how hard is it to get the items that go with it to play. Can anyone who owns a Wii U advice me on what I need to make it work. I am buying it for Zelda Breath of the Wild. Do I need the handheld part too or can I simply use the TV and the console alone with a controller.

    Thank you for detailing all that. Ahh I can see now why the price is so low then, makes sense probably all those accessories will cost me more than twice that.

    I found one used from Gamestop with everything intact and one year guarantee for about 140 Euros but with the game I would have to spend close to 200 Euros. Simply not worth it for one game so I will wait for 6 months to a year to see if the price drops when the  novelty dies down.

    Just asked my son if he knows a friend with a Wii U and he does asking whether we can borrow it . I'll buy the game and the friend gets to keep it. Fair exchange.

    get a switch, its better for zelda, the wiiu version suffers from slowdowns.

    I'm a bit late to this, but I have a Wii U and Zelda. 

    You will need the proper gamepad controller for Zelda. 99% of the game can be played with a standard pro controller, but I came across some shrines in the game that can only be completed using the gamepad. If you ever had those ball-and-maze type balance puzzles as a kid, Zelda basically has digital versions.

    Also, given the poor sales of the Wii U console in general, I wouldn't buy a second hand one without everything you need. I imagine the second hand market is pretty weak. If you do end up getting one, may I also suggest Yoshi's Woollen World? It's basically Nintendo's version of Little Big Planet but it's an incredibly relaxing game and great fun to play with a friend.

    Thank you but my son's friend has agreed to lend us his Wii U I just have to free up some time to play.
