that doesn't sound like pay to win... But pay for convince.... You can still pick up the loot yourself...

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

Not really. Pets can be purchased with in game money when they are on the market.

If I wanted to pay whatever it would take to get top gear by buying and selling cash shop items on the market place it would take a very long time as you can only put 5 items on the market for a week. That's ~100 million. One top item might be about a billion so you do the math.

I can see why people say that but currently it isn't quite there yet.

Ok this game isn't p2w like other games are. At the same time there are some convenient items that you don't really want to live without, pets to name one. However, people say that it's bad they do that but you don't pay a monthly fee for the game. If spending a few dollars here and there for items makes you sick, then go look at your world of Warcraft pay history. After ten years in that game and what my pay history looks like, I'll be happy to spend a few dollars here and there lol.

We should not have to read anything. You are the one here saying it is Pay To Win so explain how.

Archeage IS P2W, BDO is not.

It's cash shop integration is not to the same extent from many other MMO's actually locking you up behind the need to buy stuff from the cash shop, and I am doing fine.

Not really a P2W game however the game turned me off on the facts that gear doesn't reflect on appearance and the IP Block.

Gear most certainly DOES change the appearance.
You can look up how each set looks on https://bdo.mmo-fashion.com/

It's more practical and less fancy than most Pearl Shop costumes, but it definitely DOES have an appearance of its own.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Considering the comment he makes about Bless online, I suspect he's the type that cries "P2W" the moment a game isn't free.

If you are not in the EU or NA regions, then it means you have to use a different publisher, kakao are not licenced to sell the game to anyone outside of those 2 regions.
Pearl Abyss is apparently bringing the game to South America, may have already done so? but that will be entirely seperate to the servers that Kakao is running, if you are outside of the EU or NA regions, then expecting to play the game on those servers is unrealistic, the Steam version of the game from what i can make out, is only the NA/EU version, for other versions of the game you will likely have to purchase it directly from Pearl Abyss, or whoever holds the licence for your region.

Gear does change your appearance, and that can be further modified by using dyes, as for the IP block, thats region licencing of the game, and not really their problem. :/

    Nobody does.

There is many regions that are completely ignored by this game.

And I am talking huge areas - Whole Africa , whole middle east , south europe ( that is not in EU ) , Oceania , India  ... South america ( they are getting publisher now )

It is a strange new trend ? More customers more money , and we are talking here hundreds of millions of population limited by this.

Oceania is not IP blocked. I'm in Australia and playing on the NA servers

This game has way too many things going on at one time on the UI and constant annoying announcement that pops up on your screen very frequently. Also, the graphic is pretty but the clipping glitch is still there and is very annoying. I bought the game on sale for $15 and never got pass the noob lvl due to the above mentioned nuisances! Uninstalled and now playing EOS (very clean UI).

ita a Tedious game that was developed around and to ensure a Tedious experience , The cash shop is designed around relieving Tedium ....

Which imo is also distasteful , particualrly when you wrap it around the Worst PVE i have ever experienced ...........

Right...I dont think msot people realize how much they spend in a game like WOW and it is probably pretty shocking when they realize it....i'm sure their spouses wouldnt be too thrilled spending hundreds, if not thousands, on a video game.

hmmmm, if you are going to adopt that thinking then you might as well include "buying video games" in general.

How much, since you've started buying/playing video games, have you spent in total? Hundreds? Thousands?

Would your spouse feel better about you spending that money on many games over one game?

I would also offer that if you solely played World of Warcraft over the years instead of buying other games, you might have spent less money. That is if you are an avid Video game buyer in the first place.

Haha - and my wife was happy I never took to golfing... she couldn't understand how someone could ever spend 10k on a set of metal sticks. She'd lay an egg if she new how much I spend on GPUs and monitors every couple years just so I can get the most out of my video games.

I would recommend NOT buying this game. Kakao has decided to prevent existing users from being allowed to purchase the Steam title and play with our EXISTING accounts. I suspect this is in hopes of preventing existing players from dropping ~$10 and giving it a bad review (can't review a Steam game you don't own/have no time on).

I simple disapprove of them not allowing us to link existing accounts...something Zenimax allowed.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.

"something Zenimax allowed" who gives a shit about Zenimax when talking about another game/company. It was a great move tbh doesnt really affect anyone on either side.
