does not and likely will never again exist.A lot of systems and effort went into FFXI,most games are shallow then nothing but end game instances.
I could suggest Project Gorgon...free to play.It is not a FFXI clone but something a bit different but does offer a sort of sub class system and has many skills to learn and some unique twists.Like FFXI ,very little hand holding if any.
The problem i find with EVERY game since FFXI is all of them have combat that feels handcuffed where you as the player ,really doesn't matter at all.Gorgon has some thinking involved in the types of mobs and abilities but the combat will feel handcuffed like all other games which is too bad because the systems would make it a decent substitution for FFXI fans. So i feel Gorgon being free is at least worth a look see.
Other than that,i feel the ONLY other remote chance will be from Pantheon when it releases.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Cool thanks man ill give gorgon a try, I really wish somone would make a updated ffxi. or even a progression server on the offical servers would be ok.
