I also like How To Destroy Angels, Aes Dana, Androcell, Ott, Shpongle, Radiohead, NIN, and a host of other groups I'm too shy to name right here right now. My sister turned me on to Dr. Dog and Hozier recently; some indie groups that are somewhere between folk and dream pop / shoegaze. I'll always have a soft spot for the Smashing Pumpkins, but only their first three (okay, four... fine, five) albums. Massive Attack is brilliant. Mr. Meeble is tragic. Spoon has some good tunes. I've received an education on The Grateful Dead by my better half.
