Literally the 3rd word says that this is a caster class. I'm so ready, this might actually bring me back into the game .. especially with what they teased as her weapons.

All these new classes are great. But it needs more group PVE content. Horde mode sounds cool, as long as there's a reason to do it. But I'd love for them to cave in and add some dungeons.

Dungeons will never be a thing sadly. This game strives as a solo experience besides the GvG / Node Wars .. , they do need to glance over the xp ratio for parties higher then 2 though, which would bring grouping back into the spotlight. With how the games built though, solo = leveling, duo = money anything larger is just a waste of time.

And by that you mean non-instanced dungeons correct? >:)

Unless i missed it, you can not actually learn more about the Mystic on the BDO site. At least not on the NA/EU one

I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

She looks exactly like a Striker but with tits, so my bet is that it's a female version of the Striker. Just like Wiz/Witch, Ninja/Kuno etc - there will be some differences. So there's that. And the game does have dungeons, it just doesn't have a loading screen, that little bit seems to throw people off. If it's not instanced, then it's not a dungeon... that's the logic of most people. But most people are ignorant fools, so there's that too.

Dungeons have bosses, BDO doesn't have dungeons.
EQ had named mobs that dropped rare items, essentially dungeon bosses.
Every game since has as well, Dark age of Camelot.

BDO NEEDS to add group content. Bill is 100% right.

maybe they should stop adding new classes and instead focus on balancing the horrible mess that is pvp. the class disparity is just mindblowingly skewed.
some classes are completly outdated design wise and some are just completely over the top broken op in everything (cough*wiz/witch/dk*cough).

it's as if nobody in the dev team actually plays the game.

why would you give one class : 1 aoe full heal, 1 heal, 1 mana shield, 1 aoe 'lol people around me are immortal', spammable super armored ranged high damage aoe skill, spammable frontal guard high damage ranged aoe, very high bonus accuracy on every skill, a pet because why the fuck not ?! and decent mobility (that's a witch/wizard).
remove the heals, pet, mana shield, protected area and add over top mobility and you have a DK.

and on the opposite side of the class balance you have for instance the musa : you can spin and kill monster at the same pace a wizard/witch/dk farms but you need twice the stats to do that. you are super fast and mobile though, that way you can flee from pvp because your class is a sad joke.

I'm totally against adding any Instanced "anything". I left that themepark ride along time ago.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

    Recore is 100% right.

The gauntlets, the armor - the mystic indeed looks like a female striker.

It would be nice if we could get male versions of the Ranger, Tamer, Sorceress, and Dark Knight. So far, these gender-clone classes have only worked the other way around, and that's unfortunate.

I seriously doubt that this will ever happen - but it's possible.

I think new classes get more purchases than the old ones, so it's unlikely IMO

Like I don't know how many would be lining up to play a male tamer.... the class is unpopular as is.
They could easily make the male "tamer" a different pet class, like a Necromancer. Part of the reason the class is so unpopular is the lolli aspect it has going on. Makes a lot of people uncomfortable. Performance-wise a well played Tamer is pretty effective.

I think if they made a male "tamer" necromancer - they'd make it into a completely different class.

Otherwise the necromancer would be fighting with shortswords as primary skill for the first 55 levels. Remember that male/female variants of the same class share a lot of the base skills, and the fighting style is the same. Male Necro being a "tamer" - just no.

Tamer is good in 1v1 PvP

Its a sub par PvE farming class (speed wise) and is near useless in group PvP

Also Tamer requires high gear to be effective and high skill - there's just not much upsides and it shows in chart that Kakao published as far as KO numbers per class (tamer was near the bottom)

I fail to see how that's a problem. A shortsword can entirely fit on a Necromancer. However, I also don't think Necro is a necessary one.

We could just as easily have a Hunter alt for Ranger, Ravager/Reaver alt for Dark Knight, Sorceror/Warlock for Sorceress, and a grizzled old Beastmaster for Tamer.

The female berserker is more difficult, but how about an Amazon?

They definitely need a dark magic male toon. It is very annoying being forced into a female model for those themes. I am all for a totally unique class option and not just a variant of existing ones, but 2 currently without a single male option?

The issue is that this is a Korean game and geared for their market so western complaints fall on deaf ears.

I play a ninja however and luckily and prefer it anyway over the female variant. I don't even have an issue with gender locking ... just have a damn 50/50 split! Equality people!

It could easily look like an athame or similar dagger on a Necromancer. I mean, a Warrior's longsword looks like a rapier in a Valkyrie's hands. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to a Beastmaster. But IF they do that, one of the preset looks needs to have some resemblance to Marc Singer! :P
