During this week's Gamescom in Germany, Trion Worlds revealed a brand new trailer for ArcheAge 4.0. Called Conquer Bloodsalt Bay, the trailer gives a brief look at the nautically-themed content where players will be able to dominate the seas, take on other scallawags and battle fierce undersea creatures.

    "Conquer Salty Bay". I'm still salty with how amazing the beta was, yet was crushed when the game launched with the worst pay to win system I've ever experienced.

    Could have been an amazing game but it was ruined by pay2win garbage and RNG upgrading.

    Basically this is another attempt at a trion cash grab. Look we got this new thing you can P2W the gear to actually try it! If you pay ever more $$ you might even win!

    Cnat understand people, who blame game cos of RNG system but in same time playing BDO which have RNG in all aspects of the game. What is wrong with you guys ?

    This looks great... oh wait, it's still Archeage.

    Nevermind, I can't wait to gamble with tons of my money and either:

    A- Sit on the curb outside of my house wondering where my mortgage went
    B- 2 shot every normal subscriber and F2P persons boat with my all Legendary/Mythic sails and cannons

    this game you can pay but still you can't win the land grab, which is stupid. I do however miss the sailing.

    Game is perfect fine... As long as you spend $200-300 a month in the cash shop. If you do not well... enjoyed getting destroyed by everyone who is.

    Nothing will help AA even great patches until the underlying problem with the game is solved. And Honestly Trion does not care about quality or the health of their mmos anymore. All they care about is making the most money possible out of the cashshops. Look at last freshstarts they were actually holding the players who came back... then they added the p2w garbage even with ppl begging them not to and the servers all died again in 3 months time.

    I love AA as a game, but it is on its death bed... and it is not because it is a bad game.

    Logged Back into the game , the servers are almost dead with a few trion support guys with ultimate gear running around. This game dies for me everytime I log in, yet servers are still up and running.

    What they don't tell you is that these "seas" that you are trying to dominate are actually a very small instanced arena/battleground. You sail your ship around in a circle the entire time shooting at mobs for points for the win. You can pvp by shooting at other ships but killing mobs is the main focus.

    Just to clarify for a few folks, our newest arena above is really different from our normal PvP offerings. In order to make sure the fights are fair, the arena focuses on your team joining up on a pre-built boat allied with one of ArcheAge's four signature captains. Players don't actually use player skills at all, and the focus of the battle is on the sea area, the monsters inside of it, and a race to capture as many drowned souls as possible.

    The arena is also cross-server, so you can play against opponents across your region. The cross-server tech is also coming to many of our other arenas too, so there will be new challenges ahead!

    It's still Archeage though right? Where a small % of players with 7000+GS (which isn't honestly achievable under normal/healthy circumstance) can absolutely make the rest of their server irrelevant? Where Battlerage + Shadowplay + Melee Gear has a TTK of less than 3 seconds on most other builds? It's still THAT Archeage right?

    I can't help but read through a thread like this and think back to when it launched with all those white knights who went on and on and on defending this game that it's not p2w......LOL.
