Black Desert's Developer is Currently Working on Four MMO Games

Pearl Abyss has held the IPO press conference in Seoul. At this conference, Kyung In Jung, the CEO of Pearl Abyss, announced strategies for Black Desert's upcoming developments, and the plans for future releases. In this article, we write down some highlights, and you can check out more conference detail here. 

Pearl Abyss is internally preparing 4 projects right now. Two games are in development in which aim to be released in the second half of 2018. The other two aim to be released in 2019 and 2021. All of them are in progress to be network-based games with high-quality graphics by using the self-developed engine.

    I'm guessing a couple of those 4 games are probably going to be mobile games.  Which is fine for me, but I know a lot of people won't even give mobile a chance.

    One of them might be the mobile BDO game that they showed before.

    Sure but Blizzard started with a few actually complete games before branching out and making 4 new ones while never finishing developing the first.

    Blizzard is a rather atypical game company in an atypical position.

    It is smart business, if you can pull it off. Blizzard has an unusually comfortable quantity of eggs such that it can fill many baskets with them at virtually no risk.

    Other companies in the MMO business, not so much.

    If Pearl Abyss can pull it off, that will be all well and good for them. They must take care, though, that they don't become another successful game company destroyed by their own ambition.

    I'm guessing the title would be more accurate if you replaced "games" with cash shops.

    This is great news to me. I really like BDO, it is a super high quality game with a lot of features. I'm just hoping they continue that trend as opposed to going onto a churning out crap route since they got success with one game.

    Well we know one of those games is the mobile version of BDO. I am going to take a guess one will be a MOBA, and a CCG. No idea on the others.

    It is quite vague but it can also mean games based off of MMO's?
