I just got there, but never hearing about the game before...still much to learn. So I can't really comment. So far its pretty fun, even if there is a grind later...I'm sure nothing can be as bad as the Black desert online grind and RNG :open_mouth:

For those who've played it, do you feel its an improvement? Same? Do you think the expansion and whatever patches there have been have made the game worse (or better)?

Funny thing is, was looking for a sci-fi(ish) PvE shooter based game like a week or two ago...so its good the other thread was made. Somehow just never heard of this game lol, I think I saw it on steam on recommended games and I skipped right by and completely forgot about it.

From what I've read on Reddit, and I looked at various sub-reddits, a lot of people seem to like Warframe. One thread on the pcgaming subreddit most people recommended this over even Divinity 2 and that is a big game by Blizzard. But I don't really have an opinion since just started.

For those who may not have an opinion on expansion/patches. Are you also new to the game? Or is this one of those games that doesn't interst you?

Also for starter frames I chose volt to start with. I went with pistol side arm and bow for my ranged weapon. Its actually pretty fun combo so far.

None of the warframes are bad. You just need to learn how to use them.  Starting with Volt will mean getting the Excalibur warframe will be a little more tedious than the other starter frames.

Suggestion;  go to the market, buy all the MK1 weapons and level them to 30.  This will get you started learning how to use them and how to modify weapons.  Leveling weapons and warframes is how you earn Mastery Rank.  Some later weapons will have minimum MR levels to be able to use.

Once you level the MK1 weapons sell them back to the market.  They have no further use.  Non-MK1 weapons might be used in other weapon blueprints, i.e. 2 Lato pistols to make the Aklato pistol pair.
