haven't really played this game before....my friend told me it's good....but i think the graphics is really crappy...isn't gunbound better than this game?

Most of us on this forum will think it is the BEST there is, so you'll probably get a biased opinion anyway (lol)
Anyway, it is a good game in my opinion. The fighting and skills are very good and the graphics are perfect for this game. It would not work if it was a 3D game. The fighting is very intense, as you have complete control of your character rather than just click to attack. If you get bored of fighting you can always hang around with friends and play minigames to pass time.
The best thing to do is probably to download the game as it is free
to play forever, then you can make your own decision about it.

I've been playing for awhile and at first I thought this wouldn't be too good.
But I was very surprised and pleased with it. Cute and fast paced fun and surely more complex then it looks. Ok its not full 3D with eye candies all over but its sprites and they sure look good and well animated. Its QUALITY and worth playing it and most importantly FREE.
Its worth playing for a free game if its what you're looking for.
I would recommend reading guides and all the info you can get before creating a character tho.

MapleStory was fun for me for a very long time (as you can see). Although its 2D and most of the little kiddies want a game with HUGE 3D graphics (the kind you'd get if you bought a game from a store) and whatnot, they don't like it as much.
Personally, like some of the other people who replied would suggest you try it too. Very crisp graphics, nice animations and a huge community. But, if you have a laggy computer/connection, stay away from channel 1. Main channel for buying/selling so..
As for the other 'tards who replied with "it suk omfg" or something stupid like that, at least give some VALID reasons why you don't like it. Go through the pro's and the con's of the game, weed out what you like from what you don't like. It's people who reply like that who keep me away from forums.

i havet played maplestory but all my friends at school say maplestory is better then runescape some times i conefused
with all this games and that so tommow im playing maplestory
by the way im lvl 123 on runescape
This game is really good and is still under construction. Other games are different from maple other games may be 3D based and like every other game but this one is on its own so dont say its crappy.

it is fun at start and kinda easy to level,having quests also helps and it kinda addicting.
there is also the fact of class skills and much more people o inetracte with.
graphics are pixels.. it is not crappy.. jsut low-tech!

heres the problem
1.VERY POOR customer support/report/feedback.
2.has a really crappy guard ststem so you can easily bypass to hack.
3.the quests give low EXP
4.Levling without quests, and partyquests will be VERY slow.
5.alot of people who play tend to be young and kids with no manners and pretty much insult you at the most stupid reason there is.
6.Channel1= spam to where 10% of your screen is visible
7.it is slow lling up when you get around lvl 30+
im a Ex- Mapler and i feel dis game is okay for me. i will rate a 7.4/10 to this game. This game dun realli excites ur tast buds for 3D- games lyke others.. but.. it has great gaming experience. Socialising games lyke this will attract even the oldest of our groups. lyke the 20+ ppl.. its gd to play dis game oso for the lvl wise.. its quite addictive for miie at least. at the higher lvl part.

As the topic judges, is this game good? as i said just now its always good for the young and the old, so its an ok for me. Many quests, lvls to strive for, its just how much u work for it.
Slow exp game but worth playing.

World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Ragnarok, Gunbound( for those 2d players who hate maplers.) and EQ. those are good games too. try them! =]
The game is almost like FF. I think its a pretty good game lots of weapons and characters but sometimes lags (like all other games) you should start playing it if you like final fantasy
I'm an ex-mapler as well and had been playing it for over 1.5 years (since release). I had my big fair share of playing this game (trust me) and having recently quit it, I would never ever recommend this game to someone unless I disliked the person.
It's a mindless grinding game that takes no skill, no intelligence, A LOT of time, and a lot of patience. And when I mean skilless, I really do mean skilless. There's no real strategy at all in this game except for EXP efficiency. Just mash the attack and pot buttons and you're a winner in this game!
The community is horrible and it got worse and worse. Most players in this game have no respect at all and if you run into a problem with someone, there's no way to put them on ignore or have them stop stalking you.
As people have mentioned, customer support is horrible. A lot of botters and cheaters run this game and the main GM doesn't even give a crap. He just runs around hitting on female players and talking to the hackers themselves.
Once you get int he mindset of levelling, it can eventually become an addiction. I really regret on spending so much time on this game, so I want to correct my mistake by preventing people from playing this game. Good luck to you if you really do decide to play this game.
