Honestly I didn't even read the article. I've never been more disgusted with a game.
A really greedy company that on top of being greedy also under-delivers as well...

Well, in the expansion or the dawning event, they didn't mention that 50% of the 'loot' would be in the evererse, so there's that. Wouldn't surprise me if this 'free' content just shovels more stuff there in the end. I do love how trolls call people who have problems with so much stuff being added to the cash shop plebians when you have to pay like 90$ for a game that's only been out for a few months.

As a die hard Destiny fan it woulda have to taken a lot for me to leave the franchise. Really check my post history I was such a Destiny fan boy haha.

But this game is nothing short of a disgrace. The vast majority of this shit was in Destiny 1.

Spring: New content will be delivered in the following categories: Crucible Rank, Private Matches, 6v6 playlist; Mayhem Events will come back as limited time events.

THATS NOT NEW CONTENT. Honestly this game is a badly monetized shadow of it's former glory.

And we are basically having to wait until the latter stages of 2018 and a whole expansion pass to get the game that should have been launched.

Just to make it clear, strike scoring, 6v6 playlists, rumble, raid and activity exclusive ships and ghosts, private matches, heroic strike modifiers where all in Destiny 1.

Also they didn't really acknowledge the TRUE problem with the game which is the sandbox. All that above stuff is just stuff that should already be in the game. The real problem is reduced time to kill, reduced movement speed, reduced ability and super cooldowns and boring dual primariws make crucible a slow, boring, team shooting clusterfuck. Like it doesnt even feel like Destiny anymore. This and Eververse have been the main feedback issues of the community and this is how they address this huge problem:

    Weapon and Ability Balance Pass
Sandbox adjustments based on player feedback and data from the live game. The Sandbox team will share specific changes as we lead up to Season 3.

    Wow... I just... ueurghhhhh.

To me the most distressing things are a.) not a lot of info on actual new content in 2018 yet (one paid expansion is all they're talking about?) and b.) PC clan chat is still seemingly that far off?

I've never played d1 so i'm fresh to destiny franchise - and i enjoy it too, weapons do feel really great. The environment is nice, there is not much to do yet, but seems the game is growing. (PC)

You may no grasp the full sadness of this game so let me share a glimpse with you.

To find people for activity where team mates are mandatory you have to use a tier website to advertise for it.
Those total stranger have then to add a blizzard code to their whole blizzard friend list. Btag which no relation at all with the pseudo you advertised with on this site.
Finally you have to accept them before they can be granted the ability to join your party.

Also keep in mind this site have (extra?) limited sorting option and no realtime feed update, this means that yes, you have to load and refresh the page again, and again, and again every couple seconds for god forbid as long as needed to find what you're looking for.

But hey, remember ? They delayed the pc release to be sure they provided quality experience up to pc standard, so i guess they got it good. *wink**wink*

It's never going to be "too little, too late" as a whole (*cough* the division *cough*), but for a lot of individuals, yes. I suspect a lot of folks will come back for the DLC in the spring, but not until then.

They said that Destiny would be 10 year supported IP. One game after another so far, and then it is just rehashed content. I fell for the hype with Destiny….sorry Bungie, I didn’t fall for it a second time. Now when are they going to announce Destiny 3 followed by Destiny 4 then the end of the IP?

One more "expansion" to go through. Cause I paid for it already. And then I'm done. Didn't even do trials/raid in Curse of Osiris and am 335, the hell? There are literally 0 reasons to log. 100 person clan, NONE is online anymore, not even kidding. Used to have all clan engrams, now 0. Upgraded even most weapons I am not using. Missing just one stupid forged weapon and I'll soon masterwork my last "main" weapon.
I'm actually against endless grinds like the dumb stuff that happened to WoW in Legion, but I don't mind having to raid for 3-4 months to get a full set of gear. But here even a raid is a 2 hrs/affair, even the very first day.
If they want this crap to last, they need to make it hard so average people take months to complete it, like WoW. It's what keeps people subbed/playing.

This is just sad. They continue to suffer from one self inflicted injury after another. Some one over there either really doesn't care how this looks, or is so inexperienced that they shouldn't be trusted with Bungies brand name.

Perhaps they think "we already have your money for the game and season pass, what can you do?"

If thats the case, they are in for a serious problem once enough people are disgusted enough to not bother any more.

After the greatness that was Halo, I never thought I'd see Bungie fall this far.
