Chess MMO?

Lol, kind of a weird question, but does anyone know if there is a "Good" MMO Chess game? Please reply in this post if you do, or send me a pm, and plese no flaming

Played: WoW, EVE, EQ, DDO, LoTRO, RoM, FFXI, Guild Wars, WAR, RuneScape, 2029 Online.
Currently Playing: RoM.
Waiting for: A Hardcore MMO =/

    Well, kind of like you get "ranks" like in Halo, Battlefield, etc.  Like how you get points for when you win, and lose some if you lose. Just wondering if there is a game like this, Would be pretty kewl IMO.

    not exactly chess but conquer club is strategy, multiplayer and has ranks. wins/losses are recorded and points awarded for killing others and points lost for defeat.

    Sigh.....Chess is a 2 person game, it cannot be considered a "MMO" no matter what sort of lobby or ranking system is used.

    Whoa. I made a joke years ago regarding an online chess game being an MMO I believe in response to one of old Narius' ingenious posts. We have fallen so far in this genre that this joke is now a reality for some. Pay attention mmorpg.com, this is the inevitable result when you classify things in a such an idiotic and irresponsible manner. Bravo.

    In a chess MMO you have a Castle, from which you deploy armies (chess figures), which walk like in chess. You always play whites, and the AI (computer) plays blacks. For every your action on map, AI does counter-acton against you. Chess can build defensive towers, walls, occupy every tile for higher hourly gold production. Armies, towers, upgrades costs gold. Every player has a territory 7x7 tiles, and then starts another player territory. So, player can occupy territory from another player.
    In this game, a new map is given where players can also play basic Chess, where every chess is a 500-units army. After every match players get skill points and can upgrade these armies. After some time, one player will be stronger than another  (like in MMOs), because he has stronger army. But a strong chess player can beat him anyway with a better chess strategy.

    From the picture it looks like it is 4 players at once? That gets the Massive Multiplayer check.
    But is it a persistent world? Otherwise not eligible for Best MMO 2018.

    Did we mention we have keyboard and chair reviews now?

    The entire industry of gaming has gone to the shits,loot boxes instant leveling ,instances,it is all a business ,no heart or passion put into game designs now and businesses leeching money from gaming with no real care for gaming.

    All kinds of games using the MMO moniker,they might play like a single player game but we added a login screen so we could further monetize the game and call it a MMO..
