Looking for a New Game with a Decent Community

It's been years since I've been in the MMO scene. My last major MMO was SWTOR, but that game left me completely burned out on the genre altogether. My first and favorite MMO was SWG (pre-CU). While I've long since given up on playing another game I like as much as my first, my need to play a new-ish MMO has been rekindled again for some reason. I don't want to go back to an older game and don't want to start a game where I'm so far behind everyone else that it's a huge disadvantage. Basically, if I can't get the type of MMO I want, then I at least want to find a newly released (or still in beta) MMO with a decent community. Community size is not important; the quality of the community is. I'm out of the loop, so I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

EDIT:

Just saw a thread stating there probably isn't anything worth playing that's new. Welp, forget that.

Ya, it would be better to take up a hobby in the garage or go plant something in the yard.  The MMORPG industry right now is really screwed up.

Can't say I'm particularly surprised, but at least I'm no longer wondering.

I wish just a new mmo without kickstarter or early access and not having their forums on Reddit.

That will eliminate a lot of battle apples in your community.

Yeah, I hear you. I'll still keep tabs on this site in case something happens to change.

It's probably going to be another 5 years or so before we see anything close to interesting.  We need the current generation of developers to get out of development.

Maybe not really an MMO, but sea of theives seems like it might have an ok community around it.

The problem really is that you don't need that many whining trolls to make a community feeling terrible.  In the old days people tended to be a bit more civil since the servers were smaller and you couldn't just sign up for a random cross server dungeon back then, if you got a bad rep on a server you were pretty much screwed.

So far seems Pantheons pre-release community pretty good (based on it's forum that is) but if it stays that way close to and after release is a very different question. Worth to keep your eyes on it though.

Appreciate it. I'll check it out.

Darkfall New Dawn (latest version) just barely came out!!! I started yesterday and its very busy... everyone is brand new, nobody has seen any good gear or anything like that yet. Its been out a little over a week. Seems to be much friendlier than the other Darkfall games... not sure why?
