Star Trek Online News - The Star Trek Online site has been updated with a blog post that reveals how captains can unlock a Tier 6 Lukari Dranuur Scout Ship. Something is amiss. Which lockbox do I need to purchase at least 200 keys to open again?

This is no random gambling Lock Box. You acquire this ship only once your Fleet has unlocked tier 5 of the Colony reputation. & then you still have to purchase the ship for so many fleet credits & (5) fleet ship modules. So for cost it might be as expensive as a Lock Box ship I haven't done the calculations. The ship seems to be only per character & not reclaimable just like a Lobi or Lock Box ship though.

I applaud Cryptic's creative approach & hope they consider doing more this way the cost is really high ... too high imo. The ship's stats & design is well enough. It is pretty much a Science Raider.

2018 looks to be a year that STO will become hyper inflated with some in-game currencies just as almost everything has risen in price already on the Exchange thanks to Cryptic's re-engineering. Cryptic knew it could happen, & over the last couple of years Cryptic has cut-back a bit on, Cryptic's own staff, customer service, in game content added, in-game rewarding free & earned, & been leaning more towards the gambling.

It is like if an attraction began losing attendance volume so the short sighted owner begins raising ticket prices to compensate.
