Screw leveling games, give me something with "End game" at the beginning of the game.
Chinese movies with effects also swing their swords to cast spells and not just Chinese. Not saying that you should like it because of that just saying that it does make sense for some people
I would say do leagues for your playtime, Permanent leagues are ok, even for new players(lots of items, so prices will be less steep) but seasonal league is better IMHO. If you are a new player USE A GUIDE for your first build, it will make your game experience better the first time around. Once you are comfortable with the game and mechanics then you can work on your own builds. The acts and Maps should be the same across both permanent and seasonal leagues (with minor changes to league specific items, maps, other minor additions) need to get people to play seasonal leagues . Hope this helps a bit, have a great day!
game is based around temp league play. leagues have additional mechanics(could be areas, bosses, events, new mob types, etc....depends on league) and often additional items that may or may not be continued in the perma leagues. perma leagues also have economic issues where the vast majority of items are worth almost nothing, but the top tier items and OP legacy items are basically unobtainable for the average player.
To make a gazillion of builds ?! Do not make me laugh please. This was before 3.0.
The 3.0 expansion just told us that GGG is actually predefining a few builds which should be the "best thing ever made since sliced bread" and they nerf the rest beyond playable to lure players toward these new things. Which is more or less some old stuff with better FX.
Anyway in the process you usually involve real money to make your new builds looks as cool as each 12 y old kid wanna be cool @ school.
So. This is fine if you are rich and your time does not mater or you consider it worth less than a penny, but if you are a serious RPG player which wish to make his promised dream build and have it for eternity, and expand it further - then you fellow just come to the wrong game.
Nowadays the builds lasts not more than an expansion or two, ( which is less than a year ) and then they are deprecated. Which is more or less just to spit on your time, money and efforts you've made to make it.
