  Lotro 10 years ago because of the graphics at the time and the community was and still is the best. I started a 7 day trial and by day 2 I bought the lifetime membership.

  I think I'd have to say Elite, the original, in 1984. So much more than anything that had came before. It really captured my imagination at the time.

  MMO wise, probably Silkroad Online, those rare games that really got me "whoa, duuude!" as a kid.
  
  Other than that Age of Empires 2, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
