The Crew 2 News - According to an email posted over at ResetEra.com, PC closed alpha testers are receiving invitations to take part in a closed alpha event that is slated to begin on March 14th and ends on March 19th. Information provided in the email reminds players that they will be under NDA. Players will be able to check out a number of features including vehicle and housing customization, aerobatics, the powerboats, rally raids and street racing.

    A little bit, but I had fun playing and upgrading cars.

    Well at first, it found it's niche eventually but was never really super popular with car game fans. Racing games have kind of become niche in general. We will see how well this one does. I'm actually waiting on the next Test Drive Unlimited; that may be the game to change the genera.

    the first game did.. well.. not fail per se but it never lived up to the hype. 

    I still think it is the best arcade racer one can get for both content and well.. racing. Much less on rails compared to NFS and with a nice diversity in cars. It also got a graphics upgrade that make it look good.. Not superb but good enough for what it does. 

    Still not sure on the second one.. seems like it is all over the place going by the marketing material.

    I can neither confirm nor deny that image has anything to do with The Crew 2.

    Oh, and Farcry Arcade stress test starts on 19 March.

    Well what the email shows with "Customization/Housing" is a thing in this game like it was in TDU2 then yeah it will be close.

    That image is shown before accepting an NDA and is on a public webpage

    This game should be released as a free v2.0 patch for the first one.

    The current game already has street racing, track availability, dirt, off-road, drifting, and motorcycles in it.  The only new items are boats and planes.  Whether they have made changes that someone could call improvements to the already available means of game play is a question mark.

    It wasn't really a failure, more of a niche.

    The Crew 2 is likely going to be a niche too, but apparently it's big enough niche that they can make more money than they lose.

    Cant say anything about the Crew 2 (because of the NDA), BUT its nothing like The Crew 1 and not in a good way in my opinion The Crew 1 is way better then its successor
