Not willing to pay for this crap again for Trion Worlds to do the same exact stuff, I don't mind the Cash Shop so much as the Pay 2 Win Packs that cost $150, and costumes locked behind a pay wall, but a shop like Black Desert is fine.
Again you cannot run a F2P game without a P2W cash shop. So the ONLY way they can get the P2W out of the game is to have a Sub only server. If this game went to the B2P model like ESO then yea you could have an optional sub. The problem is this game only makes money from Whales. The only way to counter that is a P2P only server.
I dunno Path of exile seems to be a pretty successful F2P game, and nary a p2w item to be found in their shop. . .

Ok lets see here. +10 Guild slots, Premium guild stash tab, Sin and Innocense Mystery Box (Gamble loot box in this game), Currency stash tab, Extra Character slots. Sorry man but a Gamble loot box is a P2W deal its also getting a bad wrap because of SW BF2. Also having to buy guild slots, bag space and guild bank space. Sorry All bullshit because you know the game will be designed around that pay wall. besides PoE is nothing more than Diablo 3.
Again F2P is designed to get you to part with your money for stupid shit. Where as a P2P only game gives you access to the content and what you do with it is your responsibility.

Archeage is OWPVP. While you're dedicating your time to playing straight up there's a whole segment of people who are not.
There is folks who spend more than you think you'd spend if you were to RMT.
There's folks who have multiple email accounts and multiple PCs running trade runs 24/7.
There's folks who flat out exploited to game breaking levels and got away with it and still have their talons deep into Archeage
These are the folks who proudly run the server ecosystem with the asterisks until they get tired of torturing the plebs
These are the people who Trion panders to, because their stupidly constructed business existence will cease to exist if they don't
Every server is ruined by it. Every fresh start that has happened will be ruined by it and has. Trion has absolutely 0 say in any of this. They're just there to make pretend they're the boss while XL Games tells them what the law is while slapping them in the back of the neck.
By all means though chums, don't take my word for it. It is F2P right?
The only fix is a subscription only server with fair start caveats, that can actually handle launch population. It has to be done by a company willing to rollback any missteps.

I understand you are upset at Trion. I guess my point is this progression server isn't aimed at people who already hate Archeage and Trion.
It will take 1 of 2 things to get me to play this.
1) Remove the ability to make alt accounts + P2P/B2P Server, vanity only cashshop (This would be a godly game)
2) Remove the ability to make alt accounts + New publisher that is not Trion. (Would give this a shot,,, but would probably die)
Trion has proven already they only care about money not the games health, the community, or anything else involving this game. They cannot be trusted to not screw this up... you know like how they did every other freshstart they made.
Archeage is destroyed by people being able to buy power, it is that simple. Whether through the cashshop or by having 10+ accounts worth of alts all with patron... it simply create a massive insurmountable wall someone not droping $150/month cannot pass. If someone can progress more then me by not playing then I can playing 30+hrs a week... the hell with that game.

Pretty much why they are changing the name from "fresh start" to "progression." It'll all end up the same way again. People will buy the 150$ packs like sheeple and enjoy their "progression" for a month or 2 until Trion floods the cash shop because they "have to." People will flee the game and servers will merge yet again. Happens every year it seems. Only good thing (for me at least) is that I can make 20-30 apex for the price of one normal apex during that time and quit to flip it later.
What is p2w if p2w people can only buy tier 2 gear max in first month or several month? Dungeon gear give you tier 4 gear and it is not tradable and no cost of labor. Tier 4 gear is worth for 1 year. You can progress in archeage without P2W, because you can buy everything without pay real money. It's not like in other MMO's only you can buy in the cash shop with real money. I play f2p MMO's for 12 years and some MMO's I play, you can buy only in the cash shop for real money and you are not allowed to multibox to catch up p2w player. But in archeage you can buy everything in game gold only dungeon gear you can't sell and you allowed to multibox and get more labor to win :P

hey, What is legendary if you have only tier 2 gear max in the server. If he make legendary gear he waste a thousand dollar and it's not worth at all. And those gear he regrade is going to none p2w player . They need more knowledge before they do p2w or it going to failure p2loss

This is their hustle. Nothing changes. I wouldn't be surprised if all the previous exploits make it back as well. It's a P2W reboot, they're just throttling progress as if that will help

C) By month #2 the torment will get worse. Gear gap will get worse and worse again.
D) Korea will announce 4.x or 5.0.

All of the wonderful things like the dragon mount and pets are most likely going to be behind a paywall. The gear will still cost a ton of labor, mats and gold to craft. There are still issues with that horrible trade system that are not going to be fixed. The game is still toxic. And lets say you can afford to buy the broken gear, the whales will still over power you. So, no thank you.
