City of Heroes - If It Came Back...

If all characters were erased and servers started over would you pay for it again?

Personally I was and am still pissed at NCsoft, but if they were to sell the rights, even if I had to rebuy the game and pay a subscription fee I would definantly start over! The only people that say this game wasnt good are those who either

A. Never Played It

B. Didnt get past free trial

It truly was a masterpiece and I would love to see it revived, despite the small chance maybe NCsoft will need money, I would be forever dedicated to the company who bought this game.

Er, I bought and paid for COH and then later COV, and in both cases I just couldn't see the appeal of this title outside of super jumping.

I didn't last more than 2 months both times, just not the sort of MMO design I favor.

There's a reason NC pulled the plug, most other players had walked away as well and they don't keep titles around that are on life support.

I'm sure i would go back and dabble for a while but i doubt i'd stick around for more than a month or two out for the sake of nostalgia. Simply because i already racked up more hours in the game than any other.

There is a successor being made by ex CoH players and volunteer developers named City of Titans. Whether it'll be any good is another matter but it's worth keeping an eye on. They had kickstarter last year that saw them more than double the 320,000 they asked for. The release date aim is sometime 2015 but i imagine that's not set in stone.

This game was dying when I played it, not sure it would even have over 10k people playing it if it was still running today. Cool at the time, but pointless to revisit for anything more than a trip through a digital museum.

The world was too small, too much instancing, no incentive to explore, cumbersome UI.....
No, I would not play or pay for such a game again without an overhaul and a lot of world building.

I would play again if it was out. Not sure how long I'd play if it was P2P.
