Tank, Healer, Damage.
Dungeon runs and raids where discipline and knowing your class/role matters.
Engaged community where making friends and building a good rep. matters.
Pretty much the mmo of old. Preferably dressed up in newer graphics.

What do people play/recommend - now and coming in the near future?

Cheers!

Darkfall New Dawn just launched 2 months ago... definitely oldschool MMO feel and style to it.

Its pretty casual friendly (10 hours every week is what is needed to grind because most skills are gained from offline skill gain and over time... titles reach max in a couple months for example and there is no way to speed it up).

Very similar to EVE but with a fantasy setting and much funner gameplay.

There are dozens of dungeons and things to discover in a map without instances bigger than perhaps any game I have ever played. Its a huge world that you are free to explore the moment you log in... although you would probably want to get a mount, of course. There is mounted combat, naval combat, play cities and sieges, housing and village lordship competition, many mob bosses, etc. Everything is player crafted for the most part but crafting mats are obtained from mobs and harvesting resources among certain activities... non-linear gameplay, there are many ways to level.

Nobody has the same build as far as I know and everyone is unique.

Although it is very solo-friendly, it would be extremely stupid not to at least interact with crafters but I guess you could just rely on the markets or what you loot from killing other people.

The game is much more group-oriented than other MMORPGs and much of the end-game content requires a clan or group.
