How can you complain about griefing in a PVP only game? Isn't that the whole point of the game? This is why I don't play PVP only games.
Exactly, the ONLY legitimate complaint is lack of content, that part is a gross understatement, there is literally NO content.
This game was selling for 70 bucks, there is no way this was worth even 5 bucks,it is a f2p game that if any should go cash shop cosmetics, this is the game.Microsoft pushed this out and ripped people off big time.
Now rare responds about public concerns and responds with a content incoming statement, well that might be nice later on,the complaints are justified RIGHT NOW.This should NOT have been released in it's state and lack of content ,this is why i feel Microsoft is responsible.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
@blamo2000 - There is no true character progression. The only progression in SoT is APPEARANCE. You rank up factions by doing the same ole stale quests over and over for gold to buy APEARANCE items. Nothing that affects you character.
It constantly amazes me how naive companies are about their consumer base.
Newsflash folks: about a quarter of your total testing time should likely be spent SOLELY on identifying exploits or griefing potential within your game if you plan on focusing on multiplayer competition. If you don't find them, the playerbase will, and they will make you pay for it dearly in PR.
Oh every griefing opportunity was found and complained about long before release... I figured the devs were homeopathic tree huggers figuring humanity will come together in the end and sing kum by yah.. (sp?)
Yeah, for some reason* people will buy most anything based on hype, regardless of actual quality or even despite actual contrary evidence. They just want to "believe" so badly.
*Fairly certain its due to a lifetime of being bombarded and manipulated by "marketing"...or mind control.
Same thing really.

A few more heavy impact words like those, and we might forget this game was released as an empty engine with no content!
How are the rpg systems of this game? I can't find anything about any sort of character development system. Should I assume this means there isn't one, or one of any significance worth checking out?
There aren't any. Besides earning gold to buy purely aesthetic things like costumes.
How can you complain about griefing in a PVP only game? Isn't that the whole point of the game? This is why I don't play PVP only games.
Naw, PVP games don't equate to exploitive techniques such as camping on top of a respawning ship so it instantly dies again.
There are "rules" even in a game such as this.
Sorry but, in any game once there is open pvp the playerbase turns into a cesspool of griefers for the most part. Asshats and trolls thrive on those servers. Its why full pvp games end up dying in less than 6 months, as they are filled with mostly the scum of online society that takes pleasure in making someones day hell. IMO Adding pvp to any sort of survival game undermines the entire point because at that point the pve side which is what your really suppose to survive against becomes a non-issue as the only real threat ends up other people.
I must prefer my pvp to be where you don't drop items on death and its more structured, like say guild vs guild in mass pvp for control of land or castles or such. Believe me griefs that infest pvp games will try almost anything to make someones day suck, its actually pretty damn pathethic how far some of them will go. They also tend to be cowards, as they won't pick a fight with anyone that can put up a fight, they will run.
As for the game itself, I labeled it as shit the second I seen it. Didn't care for the graphical style, and a game that looks like it should be 20 dollars in early access costing 70 is a joke to me.

I know this might shock you, so maybe sit down. People actually might like something you don t, odd hey. The game was not hyped for me at all, my wife actually bought me an XBOX ONE X bundle with it, so I tried it. I haven t been bored once in it, nor do I think it lacks at all.
It is getting content in time, and I m fine with that as it is now, is a really fun game.

Ya, I ve seen that, as a matter of fact he is almost on par with the blah blah blah that comes out of Wizardrys mouth. Almost.
Maybe release the game when its ready? Remember those days? No sympathy given here.
Lol, it is ready and in good shape. This site is just full of well, I ll stop there.
Thats funny because there are alot of youtube streamers that would agree with this site, that it wasn't ready and was lacking.
Maybe ready if it had maybe a $30 price tag.
You tube streamers? Is that the authority on a good game or a complete game? Not in my book. I could care less what someone who streams on you tube says about anything lol.
Well I sure am glad I listened to them and didn't waste $60 on this. Its not really what they say but what you see is being offered by a game before money is spent. I mean come on everyone starts with everything, same guns/weapons but hey you can grind repetitive quests over and over so your gun can look different than someone elses identical gun, etc.
$60 for what just amounts to a larger pvp arena is something I am not willing to spend. Heck thats all Planetside 2 is , is just a large open world pvp arena but at least it launched with alot more than SoT and I only paid $40 for it when it released. And $60 for Defiance when it launched and I dont regret either even though both are now f2p because they both had way more to offer when they launched for the price they was asking.

Subjective, ty for that.
Sry nothing subjective about it PS4 launched with more and charged less and is the same type of game, an open world pvp arena.

No, what shocks me is people like this reviewer can clearly see the faults of this title and then turn around and give the game a rating of "8" mostly on the potential of what it might become some day.
A clear 5 or 6 at best, with the negatives he observed and listed. Yet he loves it, which is the part I can't understand.
I chalk it up to people have different standards of quality they will accept in order to enjoying something.
But correct me if I'm wrong here, aren't you a fan of gank style PVP? If so, understandable this title would be something you enjoy, the other factors such as light on content might not matter so much.
