Looking for a fps style shooter

Kind of bored with my MMORPG's atm, and feeling the need for something twitchy.  I'm looking for something with an active healthy population with some type of rush, capture the flag, sabotage, etc playstyle.  If it has a competitive ladder that would be even better.

I also prefer shooters where I can aim down the sights, as opposed to twitchy crosshair in the center of the screen aiming.  I don't mind firing from the hip in a pinch, but accuracy should increase if using sights.

Is there anything newer (last 2 years) worth checking out?  Thanks :)

    Planetside 2 and Warframe are my go to games for shooting things. They are both on steam and both free to try out.
