No Mans Sky. Going where ever the hell I want on a nonstop acid trip. And all of that without meeting the most obnoxious thing in the world, other humans.

What, nobody wants to live in Boletaria, Lordran, Drangleic, Lothric or Yharnam?
If I had the choice i'd probably live in the Senran Kagura Universe. Katsuragi best waifu can touch me any day. My favorite game worlds are always hit by tragedy where many random civilians are always caught in the crossfire so i'll be safer where the biggest danger is just getting harassed by hot girls all day instead. At least i'll be alive.
The Secret World, Illuminati who swallowed that bee.

I want to be a Wilding in GOT. Wilding women are easy as long as you dodge their arrows.

But serious answer. Persona 5. Beautiful women, awesome monsters, an addictive life simulator, and acid jazz spontaneously playing everywhere. Count me in.

The thing with actually living in a game universe is swords hurt. Dying in a ship that explodes in space would hurt even if you get transferred to a new clone the moment you die. You would have to develop incredibly high pain tolerance and even then I imagine you would get PTSD from enduring the conditions most video game characters go through.
On that right. I would want to live someone like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, or a Minecraft server with the difficulty lowered so that there are no enemies.
A game entirely based on production and trade. That would be near heaven for me.
You guys are so risk averse and boring. I'd rather live in a world where I'm a dragon rider fighting bad stuff then in some boring ass life. I mean, the life we live is super boring. Contemporary life is so bloody boring. It is safe, that's for sure, but damn, you don't live unless you're riding a dragon into battle with a dragonlance. It would be nice to be a wizard too .

Actually Second Life and the Sims would pretty much be the same as RL. Unless you got some of the supernatural expansions.

I feel like you might change your tune once you took a spear or watched some of your friends devoured by an enemy dragon. War is a fun thing to play at from behind a screen but I don't think much anyone wants to live in that reality.

If I could die like in real life I would want to be a part of the Animal Crossing universe. It always seemed so chill, you could go grow some trees, collect some items sell them off and hang out with people. Everyone is always out and about. It's just a casual small town life style.
If I didn't die easily, and could be revived and such I would probably choose the Mass Effect universe. It's extremely intriguing.
FFXI, I was gonna say elvaan but then almost forgot how the elvaan male summoning animation looked, so probably human. Pre-Abyssea though, very important.

Real life is only boring if you choose to make it so.
I've seen plenty of people who live "exciting" lives, but they don't always live long or exit this world in a pleasant manner.

Definitely not an online game that is vulnerable to having the plug pulled. That doesn't sound like a fun way to go.
Can we pick a game that has some cleared world ending after the big bad guy is defeated and everyone is safe again--and choose to live in that ending rather than when everyone is at imminent risk of dying?
It's only the shitty or overly brave ones that die. I'd be a Jedi but keep a low profile. Never have to get off the couch to grab a beer, and "impress" chicks with Jedi mind tricks.
Actually thats my 4th choice right behind being a king in the Conan Universe, and a Woodland Elf in Lord of the Rings, or a Dragonrider of Pern if that ever got a MMO. When those dragons go at it you're pretty much guaranteed to get some too, and the craft-hold babes all want to come to the Dragonhold.
