As far as I know, Xbox never offers cross play , which .. is very bad

Windows and Xbox, two Microsoft products that can't even play nicely together. Sad because it's the one thing holding them back from owning the gaming market.

Love that music, gave me goosebumps :D
This is the video they should have shared lol

That was the old stance. Now Microsoft is all for Cross Play, and Sony is the one not allowing it. The reasoning behind it is lame, it's basically "We can't moderate members of a different consoles community and we want a safe environment for our players".

It's funny because I can cross play Rocket League between my Switch and PC players, the Switch and Xbox players, but not PS4 players. Back in January all the consoles had agreed to cross platform partying except Sony.

I think maybe someone up top has realised we don't want the commoners gaming with us PC players. ;)

it will be interesting to see how they handle in game chat, as there are 3 or 4 different chat channels that are used as a matter of course, guild chat, party chat, rp/global chat (freebie) or local chat, which is of course all text based, when it comes to voice chat, and guilds in particular having Discord is mandatory, if consoles are cross play compatible with the PC version, how would they join a guild if they don't have access to discord? :/

On console MMO's I've had to use discord on my phone to talk with other people occasionally so that's not entirely impossible.

The different chats are usually handled the same way, you can plug in a keyboard and type like you would on the PC, so that's a non factor too really. It's just more inconvenient on consoles to have to do those things, as on a PC you can multitask and have it all in one spot.

Not winding you up now, but the idea of even more chat channels and having to use your phone would so chesse me off. But as it is I turn off discord as the guys talk inane banter at times and wait until someone says in guild chat that there is something worth listening too. :)

If Black Desert is 4K 60FPS on the Xbox One X then thats where I will be playing. :p

Pearl Abyss is working on the Xbox One version of Black Desert Online was able to try it out at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

We played it on Xbox One X, and and it appeared to be targeting 60 FPS. It also looked very impressive, and rather close to the pristine visual fidelity you can find in the PC version. Black Desert Online is certainly one of the most visually impressive MMORPGs currently on the market, if not the best.
