Camelot Unchained News - June 12th has come and gone with Camelot Unchained devs working hard to get things "locked" in preparation for the beta launch on July 4th. While "many of our core Beta features have landed", there are some things that are "where we want it to be". The team is still hopeful for July 4th as they keep working to get "across the finish line".

Bahhh. FORGET IT!
This will slip back to early 2019... like every frigg'in game announced these days.
Current game: Pillars of Eternity
Played: UO, AC, Eve, Fallen Earth, Aion, GW, GW2
Tried: WOW, Rift, SWTOR, ESO
Future: Camelot Unchained? Crowfall? Bless?
I will buy a founders pack, but first i need to see more from the game.
Got burnet from other EA games to many times.
Good luck.
I have no idea why anyone funded this game, i have never seen anything that says AAA incoming,so would love to hear what people actually THINK they are going to see?
Naive founders see a 9/10 i see a 3/10.If i am wrong then great,we have a quality game to choose from but i very seriously doubt this will be worth even a beta try.Matter of fact,my hunch is that Beta is ONLY for founders,so this is a sudden gimmick to try and influence some cash flow to those who feel it is worth paying money to see a Beta test.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Camelot Unchained is following a traditional beta process. While most betas these days are only for marketing purposes, for CU the beta is part of the development process. Therefor people may reckon with an unfinished, unpolished MMORPG, which is in heavy development - especially in beta 1.Until this point CSE did lay the foundation for the very base game. From here, they will start adding more for the final game and refine things like skills and so on.
Beta 1 will center on different scenarios, where players will fight each other. They are like big arenas and will not find their way into the final game. At least that is not part of the plan. Here CSE will test certain features, but most of all, they will test and evolve skills and part of skills for the skill builder and the overall class mechanics. They will also test sieges and everything, which will be important for the final game.
Right now there are three beta stages planned, each of whom will take as long as they need. There is no time frame, as you never know what a beta might throw-up. The target frame for the release of CU is 2019, but that is just a rough goal. If it takes longer, then they will take all the time they need.
As for the beta itself - The servers will not be available 24/7, but they will be accessible during certain times and whenever possible. Just keep in mind, that they will change and add many things during the beta, so there will be downtimes - sometimes multiple times a day or an evening. That being said - The beta is for testing, so it is in CSE's own interest, to have people playing the game. Many people, as this is an RvR game with mass battles, with thousands of players in one battle. At least that is the goal.
If you people want to know more, you are welcome to visit the official discord, where you will also meet the devs and are able to talk to other fans. @ronald88 Just a heads up, this is not going to be your typical Early Access Beta. This is going to be an old school beta test. So if anyone is expecting a nearly finish product like most of the Early Access cash crabs out there, you are going to be disappointed.
And you ae basing all this on...….what?
Plenty of other PvE games for you to play. Daoc was NEVER known for its PvE, in fact it was the PvE focus that killed it in the end ala ToA. You may have liked it but the majority did not.
Not even close. There's quite a bit of hope for this one, with a few understandably jaded ones.
You want salt? Try Star Citizen. They're making alright progress and people are still saltier than the LoL community (though I do understand some of the worry about ship sales and whales at launch)
This mmorpg isn’t youre type bud. Players will be killing other players, no “wanna fight” no hand shake, nothing.
Some guy brad is making a game called “Carebear Dungeon Quest.” Should be out 2019. I suggest you wait for CDQ. Things are gonna get real ugly in CU
It's a long shot that either game fully delivers in 2019, but at least CU is trying for an end of 2019 date.
But accusing someone else of being a carebear and holding up this title as a sign of being "hardcore?"
Please.....this is PVP for funzies.
