It takes intelligence, street-wise, and have a non addictive personality to combat against being taken advantage of.

However smart you are as an individual, you should think about others regardless of their short comings.

The saying "That's your fault" should not apply to a thoughtful person.

All games with micro transactions have a sinister nature:
-They expect free players
-They expect intelligent spenders
-But the REAL MOTIVATION is to take advantage of the addictive.

Games like Black Desert Online, ArcheAge and ANY other F2P reeks of BAD MOTAVES  !!!!!!

ArcheAge was quickly abended scorned and dismissed by players because of "bad business practice".

Yet, what's the difference between ArcheAge and all other F2P mmorpg's ?
Not very much !!!.... But simply a trickery method of delivery.  That's it, that's the difference !

Just something to think about as you support Free-To-Play.

    So ?
F2P model cleanly superior compare to P2P models , what it need is rules forced on the game publisher to remove gamble out of the game .
set fixed price on everything and publish promised server life span service so they can't just run after get all the money .
It's time for gaming industry become more honest , cause it grow dark lately .

Instead of call F2P bad , i think it right time to fix it . Remove all RNG and all shady term of service .

To "fix" F2P, to make it "less shady", is to go against their intentions of taking advantage.

    That's like a thief saying "i'll only take $10"

Publisher wasn't lawless thief , they bound by laws and able to go shady because laws allow them to .
They are no thief , but shady businessmen .

Honestly instead of doing waste money stuff like try to show the world that games are digital drug , they should improve the laws to put standard to online gaming .

The old laws used for offline games (aka disk install) is too out date to deal with online gaming .

Current online gaming like gold rush in fourth Industrial Revolution , and need laws to keep shady people in place .

You are responsible for yourself.  Can't blame anyone else for your own stupidity.

Personally, I feel like ESO's current model strikes a perfect balance (even though there's a couple of things that erk my ears when I hear certain things being announced). The main issue, regardless of the f2p monetization is usually that customer service is 90% of the time cut first in order to see an over profit. With f2p, you're under no obligation to offer anyone a service since its technically free, so if something happens to their account, its on them and the company can choose to do something about it or not. P2P does have to do something if something happens to you account since you're paying for a monthly service as long as you comply with the terms set (even though companies like SE have legal work arounds, like offering limited number of services or even putting things into an indefinite investigative period to not refund transactions during the time your account was compromised, like a server transfer). Overall, B2P with a sub that covers the patches in theory provides "AAA customer service" since the access you're buying is to extra content while also allowing the game to look healthier than it really is due to so many unique logins taking place without the time restriction p2p puts in place.
