Black Desert Online Remastered to be revealed for the first time on Aug 11th

On July 26th, Kakao Games announced the date for the Remastered Showcase, in which the remastered version of Black Desert Online will be revealed for the first time.


The graphical remaster of Black Desert Online has been hinted at since last year. It will be revealed to the public for the first time in this showcase. The remastered version will be a big update that presents upgraded graphics and sounds.

    the game is still a virtual casino though and after that update it will be a prettier virtual casino which is fine if you enjoy virtual casinos.

    So its just a graphical update and not an entirely new client like say Defiance 2050 or what the Blade and Soul UE4 "update" will be if I'm not mistaken? Its ok I guess. The main issue people were having was with the pop in and the mass battle lag though...

    But the problem with BDO for me wasn't the graphics (which are already really good for an MMO) but how badly it performed. If someone already as a modern high end PC, they probably get overall better performance...but most peoples PCs aren't high-end

    Then as Albatroes pointed out...the pop-in is pretty bad. Though I got used to it, it wasn't game breaking.

    But the game already was PC intensive to begin with, with the graphics update it'll probably be more so and just not playable on my own PC. So the game will need even bigger requirements unless they optimize it really well.
