Beyond your plans for launch do you have much of the game's future planned out? For example are major patches scheduled? Expansion 1? I ask because i know (or i think i know) that with EQ, kunark was being worked on basically while vanilla was in beta.
Do you have a 2 year, 5 year, 10 year plan?
Thanks

I only have one question.. When is projected release date the other stuff I can work out while playing .. If you keep stalling on release your going to lose alot of followers sadly its just the realistic world of mmo games.
I realised after playing everquest the other day that a big thing the players love to do is twink alts. In classic eq there was not level restrictions on most gear.
Will pantheon keep to the EQ Roots and let us twink alts?
2) (this would never get answered but I'll ask it anyway.) Voice chat is far and away the biggest destroyer of atmosphere and immersion in games for me. Totalling ****ing ruins it. Have you any thoughts about how to deal with this. Have you considered a chat filter so that an elf sounds like an elf, not a fat sweaty basement dweller with an American accent? I don't know if such tech is viable but I can dream.
Actually this technology does exist. But that doesn't mean that using it will solve your problem.
So, if you have some guy who can't keep quiet and has to inform you of every aspect of his life, all you're going to get is the same stream of conversation but sounding like an elf or barbarian.

I don't think it is for adults. Whenever I hear/see that complaint it sounds like kids at christmas not getting what they want and throwing a tantrum. "you better release it quick because otherwise I'm going elsewhere!" *stomps feet and walks away in a huff*
The reality is that there aren't a lot of games being made that are trying to emulate the old school games.
This is not offering 426 of standard thempark mmo where, if you don't get it you might as well just play offering 425.
When it's done it's done and those who are looking for an old school experience will see if it is of interest. I think the bigger issue is actually "getting it done."
Oh, and "welcome to the boards!"

I have a couple of questions, some from me and others from discussions taking place in Discord:
1) Will there be diminishing returns on CC abilities?
2) What kind of control will pet classes have on their pet (e.g. movement, move to and stand in a specific spot, manual use of abilities vs. auto use, aggressive vs. passive attack style, etc.)?
3) Is there a current set of criteria that must be met before moving to alpha (i.e. pre-alpha iterations will continue until that criteria is satisfied)? If so, can you share what that criteria is?
4) Will there be support for 21:9 monitors to provide an increased field of view?
5) Will there be support for HDR?
6) Can players create custom chat channels that others others on the server can join to have things like player created global channels for LFG, trade, class discussion, etc?
7) The combat log in the recent stream shows a summary of fight damage and threat. What kind of information can we expect to be provided (or not provided) in the combat log?
8) Around how many dungeons can we expect there to be at release?
9) Will every class have a utility for getting around the world such as the rogue's rope and druid's bridge?
10) Will mobs suffer fall damage if you were to use a knockback to push them into a pit or charm them and force them to jump to their death?
11) Are there any new developments on the progeny system and how that might work?

Great questions! Looking forward to seeing the answers to many of these.
I'm curious if we will be able to change the colors of the of the text in the chat window? And will there be a way for us to change the layout of the UI?
1) are you still going forward with the Evil continent, Good continent and Neutral continent as drafted on the map current tly posted to the pantheon website? It seems really unlikely that all the good races would settle in one landmass, all the evil in another. And this isn't RvR pvp.
2) as ex clerics who have turned to a path of crusading and vengeance instead of the typical Champion of Light trope, why can only 2 of 3 cleric races be Paladins and why is the one that cannot the only evil cleric race? The lore has changed to break the trope but the game mechanics are still trope based.
3) Regarding when bards are put into game is there any plan regarding their song ability? Can we expect a compose your own method like Vanguard?
4) awhile back Brad listed the specs of the PC he tests on, i5, etc. Is Brad still running smoothly on that rig or have the requirements jumped to require a new setup?
5) should players expect a retune for when bard/necro are added (esp if post launch) or will those classes be tuned for existing content? Ie will named mobs be beefed up to resist disease more or to take into account the possibility of overhaste/ac buffs/etc from bards affecting groups for the content?
6) Kilsin keeps saying the new forums are coming and will fix all sorts of problems with the current forums, for over a year and a half at least. Why the delay?
7) eqplayers, vanguard had similar. Will Pantheon feature a web based way to view someone's gear and achievements? 7.5) Will this game feature achievements as such that will be tracked and awarded rewards for completing?
8) Post launch there has to be a plan to stay solvent . Sub fees alone may keep the game running but that will require content pushing to keep many playing no matter how good the gameplay. Content locusts, achievement chasers and die hard challenge seekers. Is there a roadmap of expansion content planned or at least in the brainstorming phase to keep players engaged and if so is it a 2, 5, etc year plan at this point? Many are looking at Pantheon as our Babylon 5, our last best hope, so let us know in advance if that's in the drawing board .

Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.

Aww! You really shouldn't talk about yourself that way! Let's face it when someone requests a chat filter where a person sounds like something other than themselves it's really that the person requesting it that is insecure.
I would rather have no voice chat at all or hear their actual voice. I wouldn't want to hear a chat filter that makes a someone's voice sound like an elf...that would be, uh, creepy?
P.S. Why couldn't that person have a British accent? Just as many Brits play video games as Americans you know.

One of the things that brings fond old memories rushing back every time I hear it is the music In my favorite MMO’s. I think EQ2 has one of the best MMO soundtracks I have ever heard. Many scores with very unique sounds and feels for each area giving the world a more memorable personality.
What is Pantheon going to do that will enrich our experience audibly? What can we look forward to when it comes to the game’s soundtrack?
concerned about the dire lord and its tanking role
So having played EQ1 and 2 as well as Vanguard and seeing what you folks did there, I am very worried about damage mitigation and this classes tanking role is regards to the roller coaster spikes of damage received and the pressure for healers to keep the dire lord up and active.
In other MMOS IE WOW-- the brewmaster has a similar mechanic in that he takes a lot of damage up front; and for much of his existence, this made him undesirable for dungeon content.
Aside from what Ive seen in the recent DLord preview, what makes this class group desirable? If he receives so much spike damage with lower mitigation, then Im expecting his leeches/taps/heals to be very large to compensate for that--- or am I mistaken?
Lastly-- please when you do introduce the bard-- make a great version of what exsited in EQ1. Please retain the TWISTING, and not the meshing together of songs (BALLARD/ARIA/SONNATA THINGIE) like Vanguard. The twisting aspect of the bard is what really drew me to that class as well and many others.

Because everyone macroing a twist on a gaming mouse or keyboard is skill compared to custom building your songs for various situations? I think not.

I'm going to stray from my class curiosity for zones a bit.
Does Pantheon have any zones that you would classify as horror themed? Also, what is the most visually stunning zone you have in development that we have yet to see and can you tell us anything about it?
All summoner pets will advance with character level and summoned gear.
My question is, how will pets benefit as the summoner acquires better gear? Or will pets at a given level remain static, not advancing as the summoner gears up?
If pets remain static, how is summoner advancement via gear progression balanced relative to other classes?

Will money (gold/silver/copper) count towards your weight/encumbrance? And will money auto convert when you loot (ie, once you reach 100 copper it’ll automatically turn to 1 sp)?
Will item X have the the same stats every time it drops?
Are there items, that are only on one encounters loot table? So do I need to take down one special named boss to get a special item?
Could you please describe a scenario where an encounter X spawns and group A and B are competing for the kill, including respawn and possible lock out or other mechanics?

- How is Alpha intended? Similar like the PreAlpha 1-2-3-4 Sessions or in a different way?
- If the 12 release classes are almost ready to test, how are the chances to see the Bard and especially the Necro at release?!
- Will all the races from Whitethaw have also their own starting areas at release?
- Will you allow player-made map addons or will they stay outside the game?
Thanks and have a nice talk!

What feature in Pantheon is most new and unique? What is Pantheon delivering that other games haven't?
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
