Do you read quest text in WoW?

Curious how many get into the lore of WoW and read quest text. I know a lot of it is also voiced and story outside the game, but I wonder how many (on MMORPG.com) actually read the quest text from the random quests in the game?

I generally dont read quests in any MMORPG unless they don't have a quest tracker.  I prefer games that take the time to add voice acting.

Only if I know it's part of the main story or adds to the overall lore, tend to skip ones about Urgan and he's lost prized sheep

It depends upon my mood and if the in-game cinematics/scripted content pique my interest.

I pretty much always read quest text though I'm a bit "over" quests. Not my preferred way to play.

Can't say I spent too much time reading the quest text in the past. But I've been recording a couple videos on World of Warcraft lately and absolutely love reading the text these days.
G'day! Aussie guy that records videos of his gameplay. I stream gameplay too.

Sometimes, mainly when it was part of an important quest chain and mainly in vanilla...

I've played WoW from 2005 to 2010 and then kept playing on various private servers to the date. I only browse through the quest texts to find out where i have to go and what to do and i do the same in other MMOs as well.

Why wouldn't you ? I mean what is the point of playing a game if you cannot even be bothered to read the quests?

i didn't always but since i found that Immersion addon i do.  it's just more enjoyable when it's not just a wall of text.

I had fun once, it was terrible.

First time through in a new expansion OR after a long time and when leveling an alt, yes. After that, no.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Each time, every time.  The only reason I play any mmorpg is for the story otherwise there is no point in me playing it.

I would say for me, BFA has the best story/cinematics in any expansion to date on the alliance side.  It started kind of slow for me, but got much better as I went on.  I have only played the horde side up to arriving in the new lands.  Finished up the alliance so now moving on to Horde.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

I have read quest text in WoW when i was playing at the time called "classic wow" now. It didn't have the heavy load as it has now and actually getting into the world and characters was fun back then, now there is no point i feel like thousands of quests do not give anything interesting apart from some uninteresting side business filler.

Sometimes as others say.  I'm spoiled by voice acting.

First time through yes.  Afterwards, usually not unless it is to decide another choice if that is an option.

I read all the quest texts, but doing so in WoW quickly convinced me that it was not my game.  Really poor writing when I tried it.

If there's no story/lore, I might as well go play tictactoe.

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Except for the guy taking an arrow to the knee I dont remember reading any of it

I read every quest the first time or if I don't remember doing it before, and I'll do one better: if it's a quest that seems like it has an impact on the overall story and may trigger cutscenes or a big fight, and there's a bunch of other people around zerging all the mobs, I'll stop and wait for them to finish and move on before doing it myself rather than take part in the zerg and have the experience trivialized. I've always been a book reader; it's the stories and characters that make games memorable to me...I couldn't stay interested if it was just an endless loop of combat, inventory management, and watching bars fill up.
