A brief Q&A has been posted on the forums of the Russian version of Black Desert Online that informs players that Pearl Abyss is taking over publication of the game in Russia starting in mid-October. Currently, the game is published by GameNet, but the contract between it and Pearl Abyss has been cancelled effective October 12th.

    So will EU players who were forced to play on the russian client thanks to the geoblock be able to play on the english EU client now?

    It shouldn't make any difference when it comes to server access, though i have to wonder which EU country is excluded from the EU servers ? :/

    Well the Baltic region is in the EU but is forced to play on the Russian server and for historic reasons it's a real insult.(not to get political or anything)

    Well the Baltic region is in the EU but is forced to play on the Russian server and for historic reasons it's a real insult.(not to get political or anything)
    So not actually EU then, The problem is that Kakao doesn't have the licence for countries that are not actually a part of the EU or NA, despite proximity. Can't you play on the Oceanic servers? because it sounds like you are in the same position as the South American players. :/

    Well Im from Latvia and we are in EU since 2004, but still coudn't play in EU servers because of agreement between Kakao and Gamenet. (Post USSR countries are tied to RU servers)

    All countries in the Baltic area except Russia are in the EU. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland.

    If they don't request the transfer then that is inevitable, short answer, request the transfer and nothing gets wiped, if you don't ask you don't get, probably a good way of weeding out inactive accounts too. ;)
