The chess & poker makes a good argument, I'll agree with you there
Aloha Mr Hand !
Still he makes millions, so I doubt our opinion matters to him :P
Disclaimer :Its a joke, I'm not fat shaming i swear
Aloha Mr Hand !
Also it does take an insane amount of reflexes and real time strategy thinking to play these games....hand eye coordination needs to be on point....while it isn't as physical as soccer or basketball it still deserves to be called a sport....I mean shit, if we are gonna call curling a sport then fortnite is a no brainier....
Still a good cover...nothing wrong with putting a celebrity who can play well on there...it brings attention to esports...it's basically the same as when Danica Patrick got all those covers even though she isnt near as good as most pros....people know her and she's decent....sells more magazines than the best person nobody knows about
^^^^ Truth right here. I cannot stand him for this very reason. This kids a joke. His skills are extremely good but him as a person, can't stand. By no means should video game players be labeled as "athletes". No fuckin way. Most of these "pros" look like they couldn't even throw a baseball the proper way. Zero athleticism.

The definition of "sport" is : An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. - Its all there expect the "Physical" part, unless you want to argue clicking, and key pressing as being physical, and don't pull the well you burn blah blah calories typing. No it is not on the physical level as "sports"
It should have been put in its own category (and I don't mean E sports) and distanced its self from ESPN and sports in general. This is how I feel about it but that's the great thing about an opinion its mine and everyone has there own.
I've got the straight edge.
To be able to be good at gaming you need practice.
To practice you need lots of spare time combined with dedication.
To have lots of spare time you need to be able to find a way to sustain yourself (AKA paying bills and set your mind free of problems/adult issues).
So, I am pretty sure that these people were born in a lucky environment that allowed them to be able to "live" and spend a lot of time practicing at their said games.
I am sure we all wished we could be that lucky too.
