The BioWare blog has been updated with a new post from Casey Hudson to announce that Anthem has officially entered its alpha phase of development. According to Hudson, "every part of the game is in, and functioning". He further says that it's fun to see people around the office and in partner studios grouping together for adventures. He likens it to the heady early days of BioWare during the development of Baldur's Gate.

    A question for me is will their main team see the game throughout or will they pull a Destiny maneuver where they make "team 2" fix all of "team 1's" mess.

    What??!  Someone please tell Cloud Imperium Games that they need to check their dictionary....

    I'll check it out, just cause, but their basic concept for Anthem isn't in my wheelhouse, and I expect it will be haunted by troubles.  Good luck though.

    If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

    It's worth a try, but a buy not necessarily. It looks/feels like they took an opportunity for a GREAT game and sprinkled that patented EA mediocre dust on it.

    I hope they release more of gameplay and how the story evolves before release or the open betas that will happen. I want to be excited for this game.

    Yep. I have EA access premier so I get it and a bunch of other stuff. I feel 100 bucks for a year saves me money by not paying full price for junk.

    WOW it's all together a working. May be Chris Roberts need to take a tour of Bioware and see how they do things...

    Anyway I can't really say that this game has me wanting to try it,,, I'll have to see what the game play looks like before I say no.

    But the more I read and look at this game to be, to more it feels like Destiny... sadly, but I hope I am wrong.

    They have yet to sell me on Anthem tbh, once the game hits release and we get some idea of how it really is, that will be when i decide whether to buy or not, its just that so far there hasn't been much to encourage me that its going to be a buy, i really miss the Bioware that made ME1&2  :/
