Black Desert Mobile Earning Almost 3x As Much Money as PC Version

MikehaMikeha Member EpicPosts: 9,196
Pearl Abyss has done it again. ;)

Pearl Abyss reported their earnings last month and some interesting financial figures were disclosed. The most notable figure released is that Black Desert Mobile earns almost 3x as much money as the PC version of the game despite only being available in South Korea. The mobile version's North American / European release is expected to launch in Q1 2019.

You can play it on an Emulator like Bluestacks, which is now officially sponsored by AMD, Intel, Samsung and Qualcomm

And guess what game Pearl Abyss let them use in the new video?

Also, Pearl Abyss lowered the IP blocks on Black Desert Mobile in Korea and the Google play/Pearl shop for the Korean servers have been localized so players from the United States can buy Pearls now.  :)

Serious question - who doesnt have a global VPN service where you can connect from just about any country thus bypassing IP blocks with ease?

Ive been using VPN for gaming for years
I don't,  no interest in bypassing global IP blocks, as I generally don't "break the rules."

I can't be bothered. Not to play something with incredibly poor translations.

I've done it a handful of times to briefly try an upcoming MMO and see if the NA/EU version would be worth trying, but I'm never going to play in those regions consistently.

Not to mention, no socialization whatsoever, since I don't speak any Asian (or Russian) language :joy:

I play mobile games and bought PC version of BDO and I dislike the gameplay and button layout of BDO that much that would prefer to play mobile games over it.

A new pvp realm,al of the pvp ideas wear off soon people realize they were to the top TOO LATE,time to look for another game.
Those constantly losing see a chance to rush to the top based on now knowing the game and try to be the hero pvp god.Others simple see it as a new bragging grounds,i knwo the game,i already own pvp i'll go own it again.

To me ,any rpg utilizing pvp is a blackmark on the game and it's player base/community.I want to play MMO's WITH other players and NOT against them.
if i fell the NEED to beat yoru ass at something,i'll do it in real life sports or in a fps'r.

Black Desert Mobile does look ridiculously good for a mobile game. It might be the first mobile game I actually take seriously.

When BDO was released I was out of country so I used a bulletproof dedicated IP VPN to play. The thing is it is possible to detect that you are using a VPN connection. So they sent me a warning to stop using a VPN or they're going to ban my account.

Is the mobile a more "pay to advance" than the PC version?
