I’ve always been interested in whether or not specialty blue-light blocking eyewear really worked. Thankfully, the Eagle Eyes Supersight 4in1 System has provided some clarity on the subject. And while I’m not thoroughly sold on the Supersight system for a few reason, it has done enough to make me a believer in the idea.

Eyestrain is from overworking the eyes, not from the color spectrum of the light being cast. It's like trying to read a book in direct sunlight... it's not the sunlight per se that is causing the eyestrain, it's the fact that you are forcing your eyes to make out the details of the text that has poor contrast to the paper in direct sunlight. Try reading a book in low light... same problem two entirely different light spectrums.
Your eyes don't want to stare at fine details 24/7. In fact, they rarely want to. They are on autofocus for things far from your face and you are forcing it to focus on things in front of your nose.
Most people watch TV in total darkness... this causes eye strain because the light levels are not appropriate. Some fool blames the blue light from the TV as the culprit and all of a sudden people think that reducing the amount of light coming from the TV is a solution when all they really needed to do was turn a damn light on in the room to get the exact same effect.
Any eye doctor will tell you the same thing. Don't watch TV in the dark and don't spend hours on end staring at something 6 inches from your nose.

These days any item that has " G A M I N G " added is just poor excuse to set unreal high price.

Can they help with glare, well obviously yes"IF polarized",i would say most important then is the fit and that can really matter.I have worn glasses that press too firmly on the sides and actually caused welts or pain/pressure.Sure they fit real snug but stopped wearing because of the pain they caused.
UV is the way to go,especially if working or outside a lot.As to the common claims of discomfort from glare,,well oddly enough i have been there on both sides of the spectrum and over a very short period of time. When spent TOO long a period, the pain would be more from red eye/dry strained eyes but glasses never helped at all.
Now to backtrack,i used to or could spend many hours in a row and zero problems, when i actually began to have problems it wasn't the glare it was an underlying health problem.Once i got that somewhat cleared up i could go back to staring at screens for hours on end if i so desired.
Point...I would say if glare is causing you problems, you likely have some other issues with your eyes, narrowed artery, lack of blood flow to the eye, high blood pressure,Cataracts, eye damage,it could be a number of things.
Also there is a supposed number of people that have problems with blue light, again i would say an underlying health problem, like a person that might get short or slight seizures. If you are a person that suffers from seizures, then guess how they test you,yep with super glaring lights, flashing bright lights.

I was born with 20/15 eyesight and at about 30 I starting having major eye problems. My eye doctor said it was from the 16 years of coding on a computer 10+ hours a day and not "exercising" the focal range of your eyes. Without this I would still likely have 20/15 or 20/20 vision.
My doctor told me to use the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes look at something 20+ feet away for 20 seconds. I wish I had known it earlier!
