Whats worrying is that the exact same things that players wanted for this game, is what people "think" they want in any new mmorpg, and when they get it, they soon realize the systems from older mmorpgs just works better.
I was in alphatesting from a very early stage for this game, and everyone raved about how they wanted "action combat"
Instances with "Easy-medium-Hardcore modes"
Player looting in PvP
And so on..
I got bashed when i said what would happen by other testers, i even got bashed by the developers, and i knew back then already that the game wouldnt last for long.
There is a reason why the most succesful mmorpgs have had pretty much the same systems.
There are no need to reinvent the wheel.
INstead, you improve on the already excellent existing wheel.
