I've only ever played Defiance and so this end result was hardly surprising. To be honest I always thought Defiance was good fun. Nothing too serious and something which you could jump on with your friends to have some fun but the devs were just too full of themselves. You would think that developers would at least consider their customers comments when one of those consistent comments was regarding server stability, i.e. the inability to login and/or stay in the game without crashing out; or the massive lag during major arkfall events.
The question I kept asking myself was "why would anyone play this game and buy stuff in it when they couldn't actually play it ?" Instead of focusing on this, the devs went ahead and focused on pushing lockboxes.
The release of 2050 was mind boggling. So many vets of the original commented that there was nothing really new; right down to the old bugs and server instabilities that existed in the original but still they went ahead and released it anyway. Let's put it this way, I joined the beta (and yes I know beta's are bugged filled), went to 3 arkfalls and crashed out all 3 times. Same massive lag, invisible mobs, rubber-banding, etc. It didn't feel like a beta. It felt like just another day in the original game.
Oh well, nothing too surprising that this has happened. Certainly do hope the employees do land on their feet though.
I really enjoyed Rift when it was released (Purchased on Steam) but it didn't seem to keep pace with other games on the market. I really didn't like the Glyph platform at all and pretty much abandoned Trion when they shoved their platform down our throats.
Most of Gamigo's content has left me wanting. I'm not a big fan of browser games in general and the non-browser catalog doesn't appeal... Fiesta et al.

Nobody cares? Tell that to the people playing Archeage, Rift and Trove. Just because you don't play these games doesn't mean somebody else doesn't.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.
