this is not one of those games you should consider "worth trying" just because it became free, it's an utter pile of crap that is unfinished, neowiz has no idea how to develop games. there is no reason to waste your time when you got so many better choices.
I'd be interested in knowing about the better choices in MMORPGS.

From my view the last good one launched in 2003.

Yeah, I'm pretty selective, both a blessing and a curse.

Don't know about anyone else, but i don't regard my time as being without value and i certainly don't have so much free time that i am willing to waste it on games of dubious value, nor do i have an infinite amount of disk space on my PC also bearing in mind that just downloading the thing would have a certain amount of impact on other activities that require bandwidth, like online gaming, or watching a video on paint drying which would be preferential ;)

Welp can't use action mode for all classes unless you use a lua script on your mouse software, I have a g600 thank fudge!  I guess they absolutely want to give us carpel tunnel or aggravate our arthritis from holding down right click all the time.....

Keybindings need to be opened up so you can rebind stuff how you like as too many things are unchangeable and the optimization sucks though I knew that going in even using that guide to tweak ini's.

Not all classes available...DUH are they gonna wait till it fails here too?

Downloaded. Had to modify the INI file to invert my mouse. Had to Google twice to get through the tutorial due to translation issues and it just not making sense. And after an hour I was pretty bored. Glad I tried it so I can move on...

What does it mean when a game is no longer in early access and it's still has 1:1 issues that it had during EA?

I decided to go in just now and logged into a flip book and saw this convo happening. Nostalgia.

Please note it's totally my fault for not purchasing a 32 core Threadripper before playing. No need to defend or sand off the edges here. I clearly don't understand what full launch means.

    Thank you Neowiz.

Normally i try every MMO but with the overwhelming amount of negative reviews and the fact I'll be putting some time into RDR2 this weekend I'll probably just take MMORPG community's word for it and skip this one.

Lifetime premium sub? So how long is that for this game? 1 year?

Regardless of the duration it was a decent thing to do, as they could have just as easily not bothered. It isn't like it costs those players anything extra, so they face no additional loss should the game fail, and stand to gain reasonable benefit if the game persists beyond what some expect.

Thats weird, I had 25 FPS there on my 4,5 year old laptop with medium to high settings. I think it runs pretty great although it does suffer from frame rate dips when transitioning between areas.

Do you know what does the optimization term actually mean? Usually that a particular game works bad on NASA computers and can run smooth on a potato. The game uses old engine, optimized for old computers. Voila, that's your answer.

This game has a very very very very  deep  .ini file setting . I adjusted a few things and get 40-60fps on a 5  year old PC . You can also up the texture filtering to 16 , it is degualted at 4. Every mmo you will have dips in towns, reguardless of system specs.

Ini is very deep, take the time and learn some of it and I guarantee you find  that one thing your system is weak on. For me it was increasing video memory usage. Turning off depth of field and a few others.
You sir are truly "old school"

Thanks for the answer, that does make sense. So I decided to try it on my current rig:

    i8-8750
    1070 8gb
    32gb ram
    512gb ssd

For reference, it runs BDO Remastered on max at 1920x1080 at a stable 50-55 fps. Not so with Bless, it does indeed scale rather terribly. It runs at about 70 fps with constant dips into the 40s and even 20s on max settings, much more uneven then on my old laptop which was between 25-35 fps at all times. I could turn the settings down a bit but this would be the first game requiring that and definitely not because of the insane graphics (although I still think it is really pretty).

Too bad, I’ll still play it every now and then since I rather like it but this is a disappointment nevertheless.

    1. game runs better for very old rigs since was created for 5 years old gear based on UE3 and DX 9 ( A GTX 750 TI will run the game far better than a 1080 TI, for example).
    2. the video card is not so important. the CPU and the ddram are very important because:
    - game runs on a single core by default. You need to manually tweak the game files for multi-core support...
    - game has huge memory leaks. Starts with 8GB ram used and after couple of hrs it will use almost 16 GB ram.

Also ppl should share their reviews after reaching max level, after they will try massive pve or pvp content which requires heavy PC loading.
The " I'm lvl 10 and the game runs awesome" is bullshit.
Come again and say " I'm lvl 45 on 70 vs 70 and the game runs awesome" or " I'm doing lvl 40+ monster hunt raids with 50 mobs around me, 19 team mates and 20 enemy players attacking us lighting up the screen like it's xmass, but the game runs awesome".

Ofc you can run the game on min settings or using some wierd .ini tweaks but that will only make the game looking like a 2000 game. And the artwork is the only good thing about bless, eye-candy. Take this out by using crap tweaks in order to make the game playable and the game is nothing....

Playing the game with my son and quite enjoying it. Good chances we will not endgame much as we tend to enjoy getting to endgame more than endgame itself in mmorpgs.

I am playing on the rig in my siggy and it's quite fine for doing leveling just us two as well as for dungeons runs, it is quite laggy in the big city of Hieracon.

No "action" mode for paladin which sucks, they should give us the choice period instead I have to use a script to imitate holding down the right click of my mouse on my g600 software.

No player trading or mailing things to each other but there's an AH....just two of the thing we find annoying right now.
