i know red dead redemption 2 is 2018 game so it surely it will have better graphics animation than witcher 3 so how is the game when it comes to open world? there is anything good to do ? (like skyrim does) other than main story or it just like GTA5 where there are few boring side missions so once you completed the main story nothing to do on the empty open world ?
so which one wins witcher 3 or RDR2 when it comes to open world in which there are so many contents and we will never get bored without doing main story?

As for my wallet well its mine and if I enjoy a hobby I will spend my own money how I see fit. I sure as hell wont come to some random site to get advice from some dude crying over a video game.
In Canada the game is $80 Canadian or 48 pounds

As far as gameplay I find it more fun exploring in rdr2 but maybe its thethe setting for me
To me RDR2 blows Witcher 3 out of the water, not even close. Bountys, eat, cook, hunt, fish, poker, random encounters, TONS of character customization, random events in the world a morality and weight system , your character grows facial hair, Its a life simulator set in the west, Absolutely fantastic game.
There is just to much detail to go into and i wouldn't want to ruin the experience by telling you every facet of the game

You can easily get 100 hours into RDR2 50 if you just follow the story. $0.50/hr or even $1/hr of entertainment in 2018 is a hell of a bargin.
If spending $60 on a video game is a "shock to your wallet" video games should be the least of your concern.

I loved Witcher 3 but it was a story driven themepark in a zoned open world- RDR2 is a Wild West simulator with a main story and a dynamic and living world the likes of which ive never seen in gaming.
One of the reasons I rank Morrowind as one of my favorite games (and by far the best of the Elder Scrolls) was its ability to help you totally suspend disbelief and 'live' in the world- This is the feeling I get with RDR2 , but as a bonus it has a really good (if a bit cliched) main story.
Ive put some time in with both games- far more with Witcher 3 and all the Xpacs and have completed Witcher. This game has a far better living world, hands down...If its a better game is subjective (It is for me) but nothing has come close to the living world aspect of rdr2 by a mile.
I'm curious, because I hear "open world" and "live in the world", yet I see scripted events and actions undo-able/unavoidable thanks to scripting. You WILL get thrown through the window in the bar fight (in Valentine?). You CAN'T use a Gatling gun in one encounter.
Also, does anyone else in the camp DO anything without your help?

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
Shoot an NPC but dont kill him- He will have bandages on his wounds when next you see him and sometimes comments about it- Leave a corpse on the ground, it decomposes and attracts scavengers- buildings that are being will actually progress towards being finished, logging camps deforest areas... Sitting in a saloon, playing cards and seeing the world go by, NPCs talking together etc.
Man, I could go and on- Its so many small details that have never been done before on top of the things we've all come to expect from an open world game.
You can go off the main story or just 'live' in a way that seems very real, in a world that reacts and presents dynamic events.
And yes, the people at your camp do things (just not as much as you) and also donate goods and money to the camp. Play some gambling games with them and while youre playing you can look around and watch what happens in your camp (and hear a ton of banter which add to their (and your) backstory.

The combat for me is really clunky, I tried to do free aim but just get frustrated at how bad I am at it with a controller and put aim assist back on. I am not that good with shooters and controllers but I haven't done nearly as bad with Far Cry 5, Wolfenstein, Killzone SF (for as long as I could stomach fpp in these games w/o motion sickness setting in) but even [s]MP3[/s](scratch that I actually finished MP3 on pc but recently got a cheap ps3 version and I still had controller issues), MGV, Uncharted 2 and even this PS3 game I found in a thriftshop - John Woo's Stranglehold have better shooting mechanics. It was the same for me in GTAV and the first RDR too, the shooting mechanics.
movement in camp (only able to walk)
game auto equipping weapons that I dont want to use at mission starts (so I wind up having to open up horse weapons to get the ones I want to use)
No way to sell or drop guns no longer needed or wanted, so they stay in your weapon wheel forever there to have to scroll through if you want to change things up. I had to buy a sniper rifle for a mission, then later on in game I got a rare sniper rifle which both are now in my wheel. I dont really like the shotgun but cant get rid of it and at almost every shooting mission start the game tries to force me to use it by auto equipping it so I have to go back to horse to unequip it. I dont really like my characters look with 2 long guns on my back, dont mind a bow and a rifle but a shotgun and a rifle just look retarded to me.
It would seem like guns in a western setting should be able to be sold just like horses and fenced goods and watches rings etc.
Just a few of my gripes.
