The talent that made Command and conquer is long gone - Petro has been struggling for years to make a decent game - Grey goo was their best effort in over 10 years
I am highly skeptical of their ability to deliver a good game at this point
Jeez if you don't know your shit why even bother typing here.

I might have to put my thinking crown on for this one.
Why does he have a spear that looks like Gungnir? Regardless, thoroughly non Cimmerian / Aquillonian.
I think the photo fits today's computer games rather well, if it looks good don't worry about the lore.
There is a lot more to Hyboria and Conan than a cheesy eighties Schwarzenegger adaption. It's kind of like how people use Peter Jackson as Middle-earth canon.
Conan wore armour, led armies, and was a battle master and king. The entire premise of Conan being a barbarian was Howards commentary on the corrupting influence of civilization and society on morality and the human condition. Interestingly, Howard was a member of the Lovecraftian society where he was significantly influenced and collaborated with Lovecraft (and vice versa).
So, with that said, how does this photo violate Howard's lore. Maybe your criticism was bit too early and misplaced because this looks a lot like how I picture a brooding king Conan.
Yep, read tons of the conan novels as a kid, fucking loved them.
Part of the reason i loved Age of Conan so much. I got explore some of those areas, see the art sytles made alive, etc etc etc etc.
Still, a Conan IP based Diablo style ARPG would have been the bee's knees.
