i was excited to see i was actually going to get something even though i don't have many issues with fallout 76 , but then i saw they were just handing out steaming piles of dung in paper bags i felt very bad for those who hated this game
"Merry Christmas! Here, have all these old games so you can see how good the franchise was before we f*cked it up! Wait, you want a functioning game, canvas bags, reasonable cash shop prices with no misleading advertising, and a unique bottle for your Nuka Dark rum instead of a beer bottle in a plastic shell? Now you're just being selfish! And no, we're not un-banning your account. A mod that provides a proper widescreen support fix is still cheating!"
Bethesda really is a larger collection of assholes than EA at this point.
AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

I wonder if anybody noticed that Bethesda is banning people who modded F76 and ton unban them, itrequires of them to write an essay on how modding is bad.
The company that stayed relevant because of modding is requesting its players to write essay on how modding is bad. Priceless.
It's like a broken radio, repeating itself over and over expecting for a change, It is also defined as madness where repeating the same experiment hoping for a different result.
This is nonsense. If they wanted to be generous, they would give out any choice of recent Bethesda game including: Doom, Fallout 4, or Wolfenstein 2. The games they are offering are just nonsense. You can practically get them all for free at this point (and likely already have).
I could swear they already gave that away...for preordering was it?
Not really a present anyone wanted as people just want 76 to work. Giving away something you already gave away and calling it an apology is kind of well....like regifting that fruit cake.
Digital PC versions from Bethesda.net additionally come with the Fallout Classic Collection containing Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics:
What it all comes down to is Bethesda is trying to make all the ill feelings go away for the cheapest cost to them possible.
Which has been their MO all through this products life cycle, almost a business experiment to see how cheaply they could deliver a new game while maximizing revenues.
1) Re-use of existing assets. 2) Released too quickly after a short beta. 3) Overly expensive collectors editions and they had the audacity to go cheap on the canvas bag replacement to save money. 4) After an uproar, replacement of the nylon bag, but only if the buyer requests it. Mishandling of canvas bag requesters personal info, stored in a cheap, substandard data collection system. 5) Going to war against modders, even those which fixed broken systems, more due to fear of lost revenues in the future which they will likely offer. 6) Discounts in the cash shop for items and packages which were never really offered at full price in the first person. 7) Free, but mostly useless game offer (for most customers)
I actually enjoy playing FO76, but can't disagree it's been a comedy of errors since the start.

Wait there is more.... Nuka dark rum, May be modders will fix this one too
Unfortunately the mis-steps continue, they should have given everyone including console owners something of real value.
"What, don't you people own PC's?"
"Er, no, we actually don't."
Heck, free Atoms would have been more appropriate.
At the rate they charge for atoms, and how many you need for anything, at least 10,000 should be given. As to how that affects the company, it costs them nothing. Too bad they can't say the same for how that game and their responses have affected the entire relationship with gamers...
