LoTRO hasn't managed to keep my interest for very long, as much as I wish it would, because I loved the setting and overall gameplay back around launch.
Still, it's great to see that it's still being developed and expanded! Great for its players for sure.
Hey brother I reactivated my account just to let you know that life is great man. I am sorry to hear about your loss especially a gaming buddy. I've been friends way longer with the guys I gamed with. My condolences to you and his family. But you have a family too that loves you, just like his family loves him. I really hope you were referring to LOTRO when you mentioned not continuing on without him... because if not... that would be really sad friend.
I found this through some google search http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/find-support-groups there were many others like it, do look into it!
Do you have a decent card? Cranked all the way up I think this game looks quite nice, especially the new zones. It does stutter unless you have an SSD.
Anyone that isn't already playing it will be playing in the starting zone, not new zones.
How about an in-game memorial service? I attended one in LOTRO a few years ago for a young man that had died suddenly. His parents avatars were there. It was held in the PvP zone and was very moving. Everyone behaved themselves.
Losing a friend is never easy. I have lost two in the last 4 years. But life does go on. The important thing is not to wrapped up in yourself. Get out and socialize in the real world. Volunteer work is a good way to heal.
