PC and console quality mobile experiences aren't possible with the current technology. Not because of graphical limitations, because current gen smart phones are quite strong in that regard, but because of control limitations. Touch screen controls are worthless and limit the types of games that can work on a smart phone.

There are third party devices that add proper controllers to smart phones, but until these become standard, they don't really factor in.

Finally, a multiplayer rpg i can play on my phone! As long as I dont have to use voice chat.

I have my doubts the third party devices will ever achieve a major base, at least here in the west.  Attaching a controller to your phone all of a sudden makes it way less portable.

Right. The only way I can see this happen is if Apple/Samsung release sleek, small bluetooth controllers.

And they're too small even with external controls. I love playing on my switch, but it is the smallest thing I could play on anymore.

Someday they'll make a phone game that is entirely based around voice chat.

My problem with mobile games is that they tend to be very shallow, hence, i try not to play them.

That's not always the case. For example, turn based rpgs are awesome on mobile. And KOTOR actually plays great on a phone/tablet. If they find a happy medium between the two it could turn out great.

Yes, I know. I play Fire Emblem Heroes and it works fine. But turn-based games don't require any particular controller finesse to work.

Here is one of the many examples why only fools play mobile games because you really can't play any of them for free:

    https://www.vg247.com/2019/01/16/westworld-mobile-game-shutting-down/

All that invested money going poof.  And I do not feel sorry for anyone who played it.
