EDIT: On the other hand, i think those 3 mmos have the same problem with the combat that is designed to mow down trash mobs with little challenge, which is a bit disappointing.
That right there is my main complaint. It's as if group of people put in the work to create a good combat system, then someone else tuned the difficulty to make it not matter that you could do all of the stuff to improve your skills because you'd win regardless. People may cite endgame or PVP, but those are irrelevant if you have an awful mountain of stupid grinding to climb before you can get there.
Kritika Online and Spiral Knights don't have that problem. The challenge starts early.
I'll check it out, Seems like it could be cool. Tab Target is a plus for me, no forced PvP but PvP is still definitely a thing, Nice art and graphics if you are into asian/anime fantasy stuff, hopefully not too pay2win, and it's not exactly like we are swimming in new MMO releases.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
"The main mechanic of the game is the collection of Astells, which are NPCs that can be summoned and fight on the player’s behalf. It’s a very interesting idea that I don’t know has been done, before."
umm... seriously... isn't there an entire sub-genre in anime of monster cock-fights (which of course when you think of it is just plain disturbing). Pokemon, etc., etc., etc. So ok, maybe not in MMO's but this is hardly a "new" concept or anything.
Hey lets dance - also look at the awesome horse animations (at 3:00).. ehm - yeah those animations skips are .. yeah .. on purpose?
Look at that sweet hair - is that plastic?
Looks JUST like BDO with those details on characters... and those sweet ground textures... ehm
The weapon clipping through the left arm when dancing - sweet!
Look at 8:00 - when one dance stops- see that awful skip in animation for the next dance?
Someone was asking if 10 year old Cryengine 3 based games like ArcheAge have better animations - well yes they do - in AA you can walk and dance and it all blends - there aren't these awful skips in animations.
Wait! Weren't you the guy saying that Astellia animation is so 2003? Yet .. you keep showing videos with at least decent animations which will kick ass the ones from 2003.
Anyway, you .. pretty much troll at this point. A "stop dance" animation, is that big of a thing for you? I call that .. trolling.
And no, I am in no way shape or form interested in this game, but your comparation and trolling whoever says otherwise , is pathetic.
Btw, how is Devilian going? What level are you as we speak?
I have been really wanting a brand new traditional tab target mmo so I am looking forward to it. I see its just a basic quest themepark game so I wont go in expecting sandbox or what the game does new or different.
Just so people interested aren't confused by the time they actually get their hands on this game; it's a TCG MMORPG, (Trading Card Game MMO with Role-playing elements)

FFXi has the npc collection idea but unlike MOST mmopg's is based around forming a full group. This sounds typically like a single player experience that i imagine yet again uses a login screen to simply cash in.FFXI is also a JPN game that does not meet the tropes mentioned.
AION also had the color palette going,i feel it is simply different than we are used to seeing but is not better.Purple/pink type of colors.BDO maye have been a success story but imo for the graphics and not th game as imo the design is awful and reminded that i will likely NEVER see a good KR mmorpg.
sooooooooooo since this site never seems to support video use so we can actually see the game play ,i had to look online.Looks like a single player game as i expected.
Those so called npc's look like 12 year old girls, similar to the way GW1 started off.IMO that looks ridiculously silly,i can't imagine an adult playing a game surrounded by 12 year old girls.
BTW combat also looks typical KR,nothing has changed over there, they simply have a mindset that is copied over and over. The game seems to look similar to TERA.
Bottom line and the real bad part of the game?It looks VERY similar to the typical mobile p2w systems, where you collect identical items and combine them to form better items.Yep nothing has changed over there, copy copy copy.
Well anyone who says Tera is action combat is just plain stupid or never played true action combat ie standing in one place to cast a spell of any kind. More actioned oriented combat for sure is BDO even ESO is more action than crap Tera oh and GW2 even shut down Wildstar had much better combat than Tera. Eh will see how it goes with this game not looking at a choppy ass video streamed combat on a sprutting youtube feed i mean really, in game will be the tell all until keep your crappy videos to yourself!

Tera is not action combat? You surelly are a good reviewer for MMORPGs with your knowledge.
Make sure to disagree with the first trully Hack N' Slash MMORPG that changed the EOC of Metin2 to the perfect combo AoE. But who the hell do I know right? You make sure to like and subscribe to BDO, and hit dislike if you dislike Tera. GG WP mate.
The character art is nowhere near BDO quality - the game looks WAY worse than BDO - they are not even close:
Actual gameplay:
To use Astellia and BDO in the same sentence in terms of graphics is just so wrong.
The animations are so stiff - circa 2003 - oof
I remember 2003. However, I can't agree that that is what graphics looked like then. That video showed me decent if non-inspiring graphics. Gameplay is more of a concern for me though. I'm definitely waiting for reviews to come out first unless this is F2P in which case I will try at launch (but not planning on purchasing any package for headstart).

tera combat is slow as hell, and you get locked on long animations, plus the slow movement during combat is annoying as hell,
when tera launched I was still playing aion, and aion combat was faster and had more action needed to be used during that time then tera had, funny enough I said too then since aion took 2 year to become f2p, tera would take a year, and that is exactly did happen.
I had no idea whatsoever about the golden/silver ratios until this article, i am doi g a deep dive into it now
Thank you for the #til moment today
I had a typo and mixed them up. Golden is 1:1.6 and Silver is 1:1.4, but that's just one of the several differences in what differing cultures consider aesthetically pleasing.
I'm a very long way from an expert on it, but it's one of those interesting things that you don't really consider until it's pointed out. When I lived my year in the ROK, everything felt just a little off in an indescribable way until someone pointed out that key architectural difference. Suddenly I got why things felt off and was able to appreciate it rather than being bothered by something I couldn't put my finger on.
One of the best parts about traveling is picking up those random subtle things like that. You'd never know it in a million years if you never spend the time there to notice it or overhear it.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
