This news is of particular interest to fans of the Dragon Age series: A fan-made patch has been released at NexusMods that fixes nearly 800 bugs in Dragon Age: Origins as well as restores fascinating conversations, dialogs, story choices and items. "This fixpack attempts to address ALL dialogue, quest, scripting, plot, and most item bugs in the base game of Dragon Age: Origins. It also restores a great deal of previously inaccessible content," the notes read.

I'm always a bit skeptical about restoring dialogue as it depends on why the dialogue was cut. Sometimes cutting dialogue is about fixing pacing or removing something that was decided was better left unsaid.

That's probably true but it seems that developers only have so much bandwidth for fixing bugs and then "it's done."

DA is one of my most beloved franchises. Far from perfect but absolutely a blast to play.
I wish that EA would make a smart decision for once and do three things:
1) Remaster the Dragon Age games
2) Remaster the Mass Effect series
3) Let BioWare make KOTOR 3
But...."smart decision" and "EA" seem like mutually exclusive terms.

Ah wishes. I don't understand why they wouldn't do those things? It's a built-in audience purchase for fans of all three series.
Sadly, there's this:

btw don't matter if the devs stoped the support the bugs should be fixed before that happen, and I don't see much use for a remaster on mass effect games, its not like teh game looks that old, only the the first ME gameplay was supperior to the others
and a kotor 3 is on star wars old republic choose jedi knight and go on.....
All three of those objectives would be great.
Well done to the fan that created that patch

Then there is this article that goes along with the one you posted.
Star Wars: EA Reportedly Unhappy with Game License
https://www.denofgeek.com/us/games/star-wars/278678/star-wars-electronic-arts-unhappy-license
"Why has EA had so much trouble getting new Star Wars games on shelves? According to Kotaku, EA's difficulties with the Star Wars license might have something to do with CEO Andrew Wilson, who has reportedly never been "entirely thrilled" with the 10-year licensing deal in the first place. This claim is according to Kotaku's sources inside EA as well as former employees. The publisher responded to the report, calling the rumors "pure speculation and not accurate."
It could be that EA really only wants to make those multiplayer SWTOR games for the duration of their contract with Disney. So, very doubtful we we see a KOTOR 3 since the reality is SWTOR is EA's version of that IP.
