You may remember the scandal with Insel Games' Guardians of Ember and how it was removed from Steam for manipulating reviews. It didn't take long for the game to end up for sale and for Gameforge to snap it up. It appears that Gameforge is ready to relaunch the game and is offering interested players a chance to beta test its version in preparation.

    the steam version was horrible gameplay wise

    Unless they have got some large fundamental changes i wont be visiting it again. Bought the game when it came out and felt like a game that would be only worth playing for a week max.

    The worst part about this is...it's going to be published by Gameforge. I'd rather take unpublished game than a game under Gameforge. Fuck them

    I liked the multi-classing, card collecting, dungeon system and freedom to build your character.

    but it always seemed like an incomplete game, hell I think they never even launched the last part of the game, cause the level cap I believe was 57

    i bought collector edition of this waay back... should refund it...but now i guess all money are gone forever :D

    the delay when attacking was the worst part , try it yourself now that its beta , the game has no endgame , chapters were released slowly , and while main/subclass idea was cool , the housing was "ok" , but other than that meh.

    It will come out again, maybe a slightly new name how about Guardians of Ember Unleashed. That won't do so well, so another repackage, maybe a different platform this time?

    Meanwhile players are learning to distrust anything with the MMO label on it, this is very damaging for the genre.
