Mechanical keyboards are largely the same. Coming from the resident keyboard geek, that probably sounds like heresy but let’s face it: it’s hard to break meaningful ground is a peripheral that’s been such a mainstay of our computer use. Well, that’s exactly what Das Keyboard has done with the the brand new 5Q. It may just be the world’s first smart keyboard and aims to not only help you communicate but to communicate with you.

This has a very specific market in mind, and i'm not part of it.

I'm not going to install all that bloatware from that picture just to open them with dedicated keys, so for me this is just an overpriced keyboard.

Very expensive keyboard, yes it has some nice interesting features, but at that price for a keyboard & only a 1 year warranty conveys to me that the company isn't confident in the quality build of their product or worse that they don't care after the sale. Probably best for those 1% country clubbers.

I just got that bug in which my post has no edit icon. Looked at it on three different browsers that all have different settings.

I write, research, and sometimes dibble in online games. I'm seeking a keyboard that learns my writing patterns and anticipates my dialog based on my fictional characters. Moreover, I've a neurological disorder that can make gaming a prickly challenge; a keyboard able to learn my playstyle and respond accordingly would be a godsend. Voice input and audio response would also be a huge plus. Hopefully this keyboard is a step forward, but it's clearly not there yet.

I agree that with this keyboard's features this sounds like it would be definitely a step in that direction to hopefully give aide to you & others in that capacity hopefully.
