imageDark Rifts Appearing in Black Desert Online Spawn Challenging Bosses for Soloists - MMORPG.com

Black Desert Online has been updated and players logging in will find mysterious Dark Rifts appearing throughout the game world. The rifts appear randomly and spawn powerful boss monsters "that have been consumed by the elusive Black Spirit". In a unique twist, these monsters can only be taken on by a single player and are said to "yield wonderful rewards if a player is successful defeating the foe".

    Same thought went thru my head , The PVE was so weak ( i got 56 and never died ), was bored out of my skull..
     
     Im gonna keep my eye on this and see how its received bu the community , if htey can make the PVE more challenging i would give it another chance

    Yea they have the weirdest system iv seen in a mmo. You pretty much one shoot the mobs Or they one shot you. Same with pvp. It turns this solo grind game into mindless hours of going round and round the same mobs. Its so Gear heavy it really takes away any feeling of skills needed. May the solo bosses Beef it up a ton, it needs it.

    Weakest PVE content?
    BDO have crapload of PVE content but if you think a lot of raids means plenty of PVE content then you have a weird definition of what content means.

    you guys says pve is weak but then how will you grind for hours? This game is about grinding, not really killing mobs in dungeons or instances. You also have to guard your grind spot against other people.

    I think you are misunderstanding.  I am not saying it is lacking pve but that it is easy AF and boring as hell to participate in.  
    You don't get it, but thats fine, BDO is not for everyone, a lot of the PVE content in BDO involves no combat at all, perhaps that is also part of the reason why BDO is so popular.  ;)

    Solo activities are boring by definition - just like repeating savage rift (instances in BDO) for ~8 people where you mostly stand on the same spot and click mouse furiously a.k.a. "shooting".

    What I really want from this "PvP-focused" "sandbox" game are 4man dungeon runs for 10-15 minutes, with automated queues and easy mobs. No clue why is it so difficult for Pear Abyss to replicate this ~15 years old technology.

    "Boss fights" in BDO is basically button mashing without real tactics against enemies with no background story, no real consequences, and no real importance in the game's settings.

    Granted, the combat is intense. But it gets boring quick without real tactics involved.
