Last night, one of the contractors at work on a variety of in-game artwork for Cyberpunk 2077, appears to have "leaked" information suggesting that the game will be released in late 2019. Within minutes of it appearing, however, the information was redacted but was still captured beforehand by wily fans. Of course, this is not definitive proof of a late 2019 release, particularly given last week's video interview where it was stated that development was "far from over".

    I sure hope so, this is one of the game i would ever consider preordering.
    So much Deus Ex vibe, not to mention it was made by same studio that made Withcer 3.

    Given everything they've said about "development being far from done" and so forth, I'd say it's highly wishful thinking. :D

    If it is 2019, it's got to be late Q4. And that's wishful thinking.

    I hope it's true and Cyberpunk 2077 Coming in 2019 for real. We'll know it on E3, I guess.

    But Far From Over isn't a date. The use of it is smart, if the game wasn't released until 2021 (the horror). They can point back at this and say, we said it was far from over.  But if they are able to release in 2019, they can say the finished up faster than they expected. And obviously no one is going to complain i it's released in 2019 unless it's a buggy mess, which I don't think they'd release.

    So 2019 is a possibility, simply because they are giving non-answers when asked the date.

    The sooner it comes out the more likely it will turn out to be in early access, quite happy to see this in 2020 or 2021.

    That's not even worthy of being called a "leak". 

    "we look forward to a 2019 release" is in no way some kind of affirmation of secret, inside knowledge.

    We are all looking forward to a 2019 release.

    Sounds more like some people already took the bait and willing to buy this game no matter what,sounds like they could release it right now in any state and people would foolishly buy it.

    I don't see why any fuss over the game,it looks like it is going to be a cheap Rockstar knockoff.I can see in the little everyone else has seen some immersive cutscenes/interaction but it still comes down to the core gameplay and that looks like running around a Rockstar city with a gun shooting people inside a city that is mostly 2D structures.

    I know th GTA series made a lot of money,was cool the first time but now,i have no interest in someone else giving me another GTA.

    What is the dead giveaway this is over rated?>>>>"the media reaction was positive"NOTHING gets talked about the game unless they ok it,so of course it was positive.This is going to be VERY heavily marketed giving it a much bigger push than it deserves.

    Medical marijuana my friend..get some seriously.  It does wonders for the darkness.

    I cannot imagine how a person can promote a game like ATLAS from a shady as hell developer but shit on CDPR. 
    Wiz standing there pointing the finger with one hand as he waves that ATLAS flag in the other.  That's a credibility killer.

    Even though he pontificates something fierce and sometimes makes statements that are mind boggling wrong, in fairness he has said on numerous occasions that he dislikes snail games. 

    Hopefully he watches the above video so he can come back and tell us with a more informed mind as to why he REALLY hates this game. ;)

    Well they've confirmed that they'll be at E3 in June so they must have something beyond what they showed last year. It wouldn't surprise me if they announce a release window if not a date at that point.

    I've been thinking 2020 all along since that ties it in nicely with Cyberpunk 2020. A 2019 release date would surprise me.

    Like they need it …..

    Anyway , a release around Winter Holidays seems very , very good in terms of sales and .. this leak might actually be valid.

    "Mom!!! I want Cyberpunk 2077 from Santa this year!!!"
